NO Clans before Community Warfare.

Now compare the real world prices vs CBills prices again and suddenly it looks really better than the Phoenix.
For those variants you're not suppose to have: Omni can't switch engines nor armor. Different variant means different builds based on something else than the choice of your big gunz.
Why is there so much rage?
They just announced it and people are flaming because they have no informations yet (after less than a day), although it's pretty obvious that they released it sooner because of the MadCat's shadow preview on the NGNG post.
PGI is always playing hard with our patience, sometimes our patience is playing hard with them.
EDIT: I forgot OP question. Wait a bit if you want warranties, but investing in it already isn't a high risk investment.

voodoobunny, I'm sure the answer is "NO." The Clan Collection makes the $70 monocle look like a pretty good deal.

Come on, as a 9 year eve player thats just insane. Space barbie accessories for 70 dollars is the worst Cash-Shop deal in gaming today. Atleast Hero mechs and such have some value attatched to it.

You really don't think a $500 gold skin is the same thing?

That being said, yes, I probably am going to end up buying at least the Timberwolf pack.

And here is the problem with the MWO neck beard community.
"screw you guys, but take my money anyway".
You understand that you're contributing to the problem.. right?

It's really not, EVE requires 15 euros a month to even play. Gold mechs are glorified hero mechs but atleast there is value and compareable stuff avalible for free, if at a later time. It's like people who buy 1000 dollar whiskey and drink it, it's all about flaunting wealth.
Heres a good article on the subject: http://www.qqmercs.com/?p=3759

Thats fine, I dont/wont spend that kind of money for a video game. At the same time, if there is some folks that make $100,000 a year and $500 is POCKET CHANGE to them. Sure go ahead and fund this game, I have no problem with rich folks "paytowin" if yall call it that. That is their choice!
I just hope the Clan mechs will also be bought with Cbills at some point.
I wont/cant afford to spend $500 on this ****, but I wont "QQ" over it.
"This aint no s h i t on my shoe"... it doesnt effect me at all. Why should it effect/**** You off? lol

Or about 3 hours in a non **** incursion group so you can buy a plex...
If you're not a twit, you can pay for 3 concurrent accounts with just 10 hours of incursions a month...

I don't completely know how PGI separates it departments for developing MMO, but from what I've read regarding CW and Mech development, I'm guessing that mech development and CW are being developed by mostly separate teams. Thus, the Clan mechs do not delay nor inhibit CW, and to delay the Clan Mechs to before CW would be absolutely arbitrary.

Pay to win? The only gameplay influencing item in the SUPER SHINY GOLDEN PIMP MECH package is a unique module. It might not even be entirely unique as the Timber Wolf and Warhawk packages seem to get unique modules as well, but that's an unrelated detail. Knowing PGI, the module will probably be something as useful as the Hill Climb Module, or be... I dunno, maybe a permanent Cool Shot 18 that causes your mech to shoot purple sparkles when you use it.

$500 for a golden mech is way over the top, I also think the multiple of $30 is a little much. A lot of good mechs I like, would consider purchasing once I see more of how CW and clans will be implemented. If I like where MWO is at when cutoff date is released I may consider the Higher end packages.

Ohhhhhhh yeah... Totally forgot about how Sarna's pricing and loadouts are pretty much exactly followed by PGI. That makes sense on why PGI would sell it for that much. And then they're Omni, so even more options/changes to gameplay. But yeah, I'll wait till next summer before anything.
