Can we stop being idiots and realize the Gold mechs are for those who really want to pitch in and support PGI? Get - over- it.

I dont really care about the 'gold' mechs. I can understand that being a reward for those who are willing to throw 500$ into the development of the game and also get a 'toy' in the process.

What i DONT like about the Clanner packages, is that in order to get the 2 Mech's i 'really' want. I FIRST have to throw away 150$, before im 'allowed' to spend the last 60$ for the Two mech's i actually want out of the 16+ (The Cat and Thor, if i got both, or Throw away 60$ before im 'allowed' to spend the last 30 for the Thor on its own).

Im kinda grumpy that we havent gotten any IS vs IS time with faction warfare before the CLANS come out.. so basically IS faction warfare wont happen, it will be IS vs IS vs Clan vs Clan... kinda annoying, but they gotta keep the cash coming in from somewhere I guess.. it just wont be from me.

Until they deliver on, honestly, a game (rather than 2 deathmatch modes) I'm done. Their Clan balancing post is full of more mind boggling number slicing to balance Clan weapons to IS ones. The way they want to treat Omni mechs looks bloody painful. It doesnt have to be, but they are going to do it! This plus everything else being up in the air... nuh uh. they can finalize how they are going to shoe-horn balance EVERYTHING, and then I will decide if its worth real money.

What if they decide clan mechs would be too op so they'll jsut use IS tech inside of them?
What if they decide clan mechs will only be able to be used against other clan mechs thus forcing you into queues with only other clan users (especially if the package hasn't sold well to populate something like that)
What if they decide clan mechs will only be able to participate under certain rules requiring pilots to follow something similar to zelbriggne?
What if they decide clan mechs get reduced c-bill earnings to help offset their more powerful tech?
What if they decide clan mechs have to fight against IS at reduced numbers and tonnage limits?
What if they decide clan mech omni mechs are just regular mechs with no advantage to hardpoints?

that's pretty much what they've set their hearts on. along with a bunch of people who believe weapons systems alone on any mech would just clean house so we can't have any resdrawn MM no respawn big enough {yep dropship mode vs 1 team 48vs12 is apparently nowhere near enough to beat clans} we're deffenatly going to have fixed hard points that can be swapped with other exsisting configs for a money sink, that's pgi's idea of omni so if you wanted 2 missle hard points well tough there's no config that has them to swap for it. that and the hardwiring of amour-engines and the equipment being nothing but the IS stuff except for upgrades {seriously paul suggested changing the tonnage on lrms which would totally break stock configs} the clans are being built to run alongside IS in forever 12vs12 deathmatch.

zellbriggen batchall it's all been thrown out. so you can forget any immersion or challenges of varity in gameplay with the "clan invasion" it's just a different load of dress ups nothing more.

Yes, you should buy it because this game needs funding. Also, since I (and other Founders, it seems) are not going to buy it, someone needs to step up.

Ok, with the cheaper Gold Mechs (technically $260 with the Masakari pack, well I'm not getting it), and the a-la-carte stuff, would it be any worth to get anything now? If I get 6 of the heaviest mechs (Daishi, Masakari, Mad Cat, Thor, Black Hawk, and Ryoken), it still is the same price of the Stormcrow Package, although two mechs will be light and bonuses are as well given. I think I'll still save for now, but I'm considering it now potentially for the Clan mechs, depending on how OP/UP the mechs will be and how fun the Clan mechs will be. Assuming this: http://imgur.com/h1C6WaQ , maybe I should get it. I'll wait first of course, but I'm considering it.

My whole point is we simply do not know. I can't spend $240 on a product I have zero information on. I made a similar mistake in the PP. Although I think it was a great value and enjoy the mechs I got, I still don't have info and such on loyalty points and what they do or are doing other than conjecture and theory crafting.
I want detailed specs on ALL of the items included in the pack before I make a decision (along with continuing communication and seeming steps in teh right direction with development and such) about dropping nearly enough money to buy a playstation 4

Buying ANY package (really buying ANYTHING at all) for MWO at this point is probably the worst purchase you could possibly make. There is simply something wrong with the development of this game when they are on their THIRD fundraising package without showing us a working game that does more than basic sandbox combat.

Funny...I was just on my unit's TS explaining to this guy in my unit why some people were so pissed off about the state of the game. He said he liked the game and didn't see much wrong with it. When I asked about his experience with BT/MW, he replied that this was the first game he had played.

That right there is the whole situation...PGI has already milked the diehard fanbase dry of money and goodwill. He never really comes on these forums, so he's pretty much the epitome of the target demographic that PGI is going for now.

The Clan pack isn't THAT bad of a deal but the timing of the release and PGI's lack of communcation and missed deadlines continues to leave a bad taste in the mouth of some people...the people who actually realize what is going on. The average player knows none of this.

Get over it...no, I don't think I can ever get over it :)Yea, it is what it is. The new blood with a much fresher outlook can take the lead and help. As for me, I am a bitter veteran that no longer believes in the fight. The wounds run deep. Macho Grande...I can never get over Macho Grande ;) .

Hah! Airplane...loved that movie as a kid.

An emphatic NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't do it.

The general feel amongst my (rather large) clan, is that the Clan Mech packs are offensive in price and timing.

As an original legendary founder, and a purchaser of a phoenix pack, I can say that I am now feeling like I am being taken advantage off. My immediate personal solution is to cut Piranha Games completely off from access to my wallet until further notice, and I know this is a common theme amongst my clan.

Never has so much money been offered to a game developer, and yet so little developing seems to be going on. We have known that the basics of mech versus mech has worked more or less for nigh on 12 months now. And yet, they continue to stuff more and more mechs into the same tiny box, with little variety in gameplay scope.

Simpy put, it feels like money grubbing now, and they wonder why they can't maintain an audience.

Piranha Games needs to ditch the release of mechs, and make some actual content. Speed up production of faction warfare, create a vehicle for some in game story making, give the universe breath and life. Instead, they continue to try to dump more and more mechs in a soulless box map.

Not impressed.

Save your coin.

The one thing that differentiates me from all you guys with your Founders/Phoenix packs is that I never bought anything. Not one cent has been spent thus far by me. Not even mechbays, premium time, paints, nothing. So that is why I posted on this topic, whether to look at Clans at all because they were badass before in older games (MW2-MW4 Mercs Mekpak, MWLL, MC1&2 plus expansions and MC2X/MCO).
