I newly installed the game but every time i press patch nothing happens and the launcher closes.

What version of Windows? Does the UAC prompt come up asking for administrated permissions? Start with that.

Try "Run as Administrator" by right-clicking on the patcher program when you open it. It may also help to disable any antivirus or firewalls during this process, since some antivirus programs ruin the .pak files when you patch.
You can also try contacting support@mwomercs.com who will likely request the patcher log file, which will tell them why your patcher isn't working and they can offer you more specific instructions. (the support team only works monday-friday though so they won't be replying on the weekend)

Make certain you have enough disk space, too. You will need something close to 20 gigabytes free between the game and your necessary space for windows, default windows cache file, etc.
The patcher has had issues over the past two years where there are NO warnings for having the hard disk too full, just a crash. They keep fixing it but you never know when it breaks again.
