And a reasonably enjoyable actual game you can sit down and play whenever you want. There is that too. Not bashing Star Citizen, I hope it succeeds, but there is no product for SC right now that the people who bought into it can yet play. MWO has that, at least.

There is hope and a lot of good signals from the devs. If you can't see the upside to a seasoned developer working without the strings attached by investors, developers or shareholders then yeah, it is mostly hype at this point. Although I can walk around in my ships, so assets do exist that I can interface with in engine. I don't think you can seriously overlook the benefit though as it means the funds they take in only go to make the game. Unless of course you think CR would take the money and run, but honestly, he has money. It is pretty clear what his intentions are and what his track record is.
Don't get me wrong, MWO has got over 1K from me so far and may well get the clan packs out of my wallet, but not gold mechs. They have to deliver some key features though that have been coming in 6 months for over a year now. I want to see PGI succeed but it is show me time. Show me private matches, UI 2.0 live, CW phase 1 and explain what a unique module is and you can have some money.

You do know that Star Citizen and MW:O are two totally different business models? If you do, then your post is pretty sad and you need to do some more reading elsewhere about the differences.

Can't put a price on blowing up someone's overpriced mech.
The founders tag is pretty good bragging rights. and no one sees it blow up when you loose a game.

Limit discontent to the policy makers, not those with less sense than money.

I will say that IGP/PGI has questionable timing (right after the announcement of no CW and UI2.0) and seems to lack an understanding that what this game needs is what the community has been asking and screaming for to be viable long enough to make it a great game and get their profit out of it. Lots of people are exiting and going to other games and even spending money that could have been use on MWO to fund HeavyGear by MekTek just to spite IGP/PGI (I'm not one of them, yet). I fail to understand why they shoot yourselves in the foot over and over. Goodluck with clans and may you find a way back to having the loyalty of the community someday.
