My Summoner (Thor) comes from back in the day when I played MechWarrior 3. Yep, the Alt.Con. C. A nice machine if I say so myself. So I'm hoping that I can play it here.

Loadout:

UAC20 (x2 ammo), ER Large Laser, ER Small Laser, and Streak SRM 6.

Here's hoping to kick some arse!

I´d say you are about three months out from any info that can fill in the blanks. But unless they mess with the crit slots it does not sound like a impossible build.

Edit: Actually looking closer it seems that it lacks lower arm actuators so there should be no problem at all. You might have some wasted tonnage but beyond that it looks good.

Yea I know. I'll take a "sit back and wait and see" attitude and then go from there.

keep in mind Clan UAC20's only take up 8 slots.

Technically you could have the full Monty including shoulder, upper, lower, hands and still be able to fit a clan UAC20 in the arm.

I fully expect to see the 30 ton kitfoxs rolling around with UAC20's considering they are 12 tons the same weight as the Clan Gauss rifle.

Judging by Paul's description, I would not assume the UAC20 will only be 8 slots. They already talk of making the LRMs heavier.

Most of the summoner variants have a crit taken up by ferro in the arms. Which are apparently locked to their location. Only the config C has 8 crits spare in the arm for it.

You can torso mount UAC20s on the D config too.

Safer to assume yes than no.

Sure they might change Clan LRM20's weight and slots, but I honestly doubt it.

I'll always like the summoner prime myself, as long as clrm's have no minimum range its a simple but well rounded build.

As for UAC20's it all depends how they handle the heat, i'm hoping they dont make the double shot have a ghost heat penalty but i fear for balance reasons they might.

Not on an Omni, no lower arm or hand actuators if mounting an AC, PPC, or Gauss in the arm. At least by TT rules. Whether that holds true for the MWO implementation remains to be seen, o course.

always thought it a stupid rule. After all, what the point of having spindly "super aimable" Marauder arms, if you yank out the lower arm actuators and totally nerf your lateral reflex?

Clan LRMS do not have the minimum range but the damage will scale from 0 to full in 0-180 m. Only a slight damage in range 0-100 and then it scales better from 100-180.

Myself I am going to buy at least the Thor pack. If the clan collection is available till June I will probably buy Puma pack.

TT it doesn't do {Scrap} to your lateral reflex, and even gives access to the flip-arms rules, so you can put all of your arm ounted weapons to the rear (provided both arms lacked lowers).

It's why I said technically to demonstrate how little slots the clan stuff is going to end up taking.

I just clarified that you couldn't do it on an Omni, though you are completely correct that it could be done on a non-Omni. I think perhaps both of us missed the other's point, though.
