The joystick on a Logitech G13 keypad can be setup to behave as an analog joystick instead of as a WASD keyboard.
If I switch it from WASD to analog mode, will I be able to vary how fast I turn by only holding the joystick half way over?
Is it possible to disable "throttle decay" on a joystick, so that pushing forward causes the mech to accelerate (and maintain speed when I let go)?

The stick on the G13, like most joypads, has a circular "aperture".
It is IMPOSSIBLE to hit full up and full left at the same time.
My app "Pad Throttle" (see sig) can fix this.
But otherwise, yes, it gives full analog turning... to a degree.
There is a deadzone which I have been unable to remove, and this ruins analog turning for me, for now.
However, the main reason it does not work properly is quite unexpected.
It turns out that ideally, you need to separate your throttle and your turning axis.
Having both on one stick (especially such a small stick) means that you get "bleed-through" - when you try to change speed, you unintentionally turn a bit as well. This can be mitigated with deadzones, but that kind of ruins the experience.
