Congrats! I think you are the first one.

The Dec 3rd patch notes states that there are no billionaires, so you must be the first.

Totally unsure. However, killing me would still attract murder charges.

Thanks. I wondered where someone had come up with that reference. I like to prove them wrong, an admirable goal I think.

Can you spare some change for a lowly poor Mech owner?

Nope. 1 Billion C-bills, my own personal mech regiment (after tomorrow), and they didn't even get me a t-shirt...erm cockpit item.

I believe in MW2 Mercs. At that point the character bought his own planet. Retired on a boat I believe.

I don't believe he purchased his own planet, I think he just bought his own "Space" Yacht. I think if you beat the game with over 25M Cbills in the bank you get the good ending.

Unfortunately, I'm in the original Mechwarrior mode.

You know the point where you have whatever mech and decide whether a lance of Warhammers is more fun than a lance of Battlemasters.

I want to run my own dropships. That way I get to leave units on planets and say:

"Look on the bright kid, you get to keep all the money."

How do you think I got to a billion?

Live fast, die young, leave a good looking corpse.

I was a Commando pilot in the days of Streakcats and Splatcats. You cycle fast.

At this time, you can't seriously expect me to answer that.

The truth is too much. Still, I'm interacting again, and I had about 8 years of zero games.

I went from zero net gaming to about 80%. I lived, I learned.

My first owned mech was a COM-1B well before the Cadet bonus.

But I've kept spending my C-Bills. I've only ever gotten maybe near ~20,000,000 once; before I eventually continued spending on new mechs to grind through.

That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.

Just goes to show, playing long doesn't mean you got good at the game. Nevertheless, nice achievement, now if there were only some achievements to unlock... hey Russ, yeah I'm looking at you you piece of ****, give this man achievements

Okay, let's keep the personal gripes out of this.

In fact, I did get a reply from Support. They do believe I am the first. They also said achievements aren't in yet. Will they be retrospective I have to ask?

As for playing long meaning I'm not good?

I'm in Australia. That means my ping, by physics rules sucks. I started down this road at a time when there was no Host State Rewind. Even with Host Stae Rewind, things are always tougher with a higher, bouncier ping. Hit detection is worse, piloting is always tougher. You need to think ahead more.

Just remember, the main thing which leads to any success is determination to see it through. We live in a world where it isn't skill that garners success often, but rather who you know and your starting circumstances. Only the truly determined gradually overcome these circumstances to succeed.
