So after 2 hours of having my Orion K I set my all time highest damage at 870 and my first game ever in 800 damage range.

Just the other day I tied my all time highest kills at 7 in one game but with 2 extra assists and 56 more damage. Keep in mind I don't have any mech bays and only one Orion so this is still without it even being elited. My newest mech is consistently out pacing everything else I have so far. Not to mention I have the highest K/D in this one. Oddly enough my other 7 kill game was also on the same map, Caustic Valley.

I just find it odd that the mech everyone was saying is bad and the build everyone said is bad is doing the best for me by far. It just goes to show you that if a build or a mech fits your play style it isn't bad at all.

Fear the Onion!

Other than lights, it's by far and away my favourite mech. They are incredibly versatile, and while not the most resilient of mechs, they can certainly hold their own.

You can be a fast striker, with a large XL. The wisdom is this is certainly questionable, but it can be done.

You can LRM-boat.

You can brawl with the best of them.

You can provide fire support.

It's great. Saving up for the -K, and then I'll have the lot. It's a mech that thrives when hanging with an assault though, which sucks with the current matchmaker. I've been the heaviest and largest mech in mine a few time, and it certainly doesn't do well pretending to be an assault, no matter how well you torso twist.
