Low Framerate? Tell us about it here!

Please attempt to respond to the following questions in your responses:
  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
  • System specs (You can include them in a [spoiler] [ /spoiler])
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location

Less than 30fps in MechLab for some reason, very choppy.

Low fps in game when viewing smoke or steam etc. Frame rate takes a dive from 60+ to single digits.

Settings are a combination of High and Very High, haven't changed them in ages.

Average fps is 60+, I normally use vsync.

yes. something is wrong, I've dropped to 30 FPS in mechlab and 15 FPS when switching mechs. mechs are shakey/blurring oddly when rotated in lab as well.

ingame performance is fine.

Hey,
Was on HPG map and I seem to be having sound problems. It was the testing grounds mode as I wanted a quick look before I went out.
Now before someone says about it meant to be muffled that's fine; however when I go into 3rd person I get no sounds from my Locust 1V at all apart from announcer and lock on etc. Machine guns, medium pulse laser and even the engine have no sound every now and again it will do a beep noise.
Hope this can be fixed. I don't play in 3rd person but this can be a problem for those who do.
Otherwise great patch apart from the pure function call :D

Edit: Same problem with my Hunchback 4SP; still on same map and testing grounds.

I have had a reduction in frame rates but it is minor and does not generally effect play.

However, it's forced me to turn down some graphical detail as I had begun being locked up when under heavy fire. The extra load appears to be effecting my video card's ability to render particles/effects at the previous level.

Reducing particles and effects solved it. Of course I'm not a "hd junkie" so this doesn't worry me so much.

New map: HPG.

This map was the only place i experienced constant performance issues. It's giving anti-aliasing an absolutely horrendous job to do. I've actually turned it off due to this map . This map, by the way, looks absolutely terrible without it due to the waves that appear in various textures. All the others look OK, better with it on of course, but I'm not jumping in and changing settings just because of a certain map.

It seems the Low-FPS situations have increased by a good margin.
Sound is somewhat strange.
FPS in the Mechlab is almost cut by half (but that is good bcs my GPU runs cooler that way).

My FPS has dropped on average by about 5. I have also been experiencing a lot of rubber banding and lag spikes since the new patch. My ping never seems to jump so I don't think it's a latency or ISP issue.

Is anything being done to address the black screen issues that some players are seeing (that seem to be located outside of NA). We've made a lot of reports and noone seems to get a good enough answer or at least have the issue fixed before all threads are wiped out for the next patch release. Been having this black screen disconnect since 12254 and have honestly stopped playing or bothering to get a response since then.

This patch has caused a massive framerate drop in the opening sequence of the game (the "achieved with CryEngine 3 / NVIDIA / IGP" sequence). The audio and video are now both quite choppy, and I've never had this problem before.

10 FPS hit in game and 30 FPS hit in the menu since the patch, game is nearly unplayable.

I only noticed it after the hotfix, but it's possible it was since the patch.

My FPS went up slightly with this patch. It is not a huge gain, but I see up to 5FPS more on most maps. It is usually between 35 and 45 now whereas it used to dip to 30 pretty often. Frozen City (both versions) remains consistently below 30FPS, and dipping further with heat vision. You really need to fix that map one day. Specs:
