A: Do not give them anymore money. Do not play their game. I paid into the Founder, which at that time I felt was worth it, because the game was actually in a better state back then I feel. I missed the Phoenix stuff because I fell asleep on the couch the last day it was on sale with bonus premium time. Best nap ever! Clan packs, lol. Yeah, thats gonna happen...
B: Just stop playing. They see people login, they think everything is OK. Also has a side effect of driving the playerbase down, which in a free to play game, is very bad.
I quit playing with any regularity 3 months ago. Since then, nothing has really changed. Nothing is really going to change for at least another 6 months. Ive seen our unit size drop from 100+ in Teamspeak to less than 20 most nights over the last year. But hey, PGI says everything is OK!

A: Already doing that...until at least CW drops (if ever).
B: Quitting playing the game is a bit tougher (but not impossible). No idea how Lone Wolf PUGs last in this game playing by themselves...it's got to be downright miserable not using TS and just grinding on your own.

Good man! I dont want to see this game fail, but until PGI realizes they are doing something wrong by losing playerbase and the domino effect of that being lost revenue, they will just carry on with what they are currently doing.
And yeah, lone wolf pugging. Good god, I couldnt do it full time. I probably lone wolf pugged 25% of the time when i played, but only a few drops at a time.

My Orion Skirmisher is my testbed...83ish kph with 4xML arms and an LBX/10+ASRM12 torso combo should be brutal for hit and fade alphas. I'm convinced the LBX is usable on a build like this (heat vs AC/10) but ONLY if the SRMs provide the symmetry. Some matches I do 750+ damage...some maches I do 350+ damage despite the same ammo useage and point-blank playstyle. It's gotten to the point that when I DO have full registration, it feals like I won the lottery...This build should be mean at point blank...NOT rolling the HSR dice.

Yes I somewhat retract my earlier statement. 2 things... one, the hit detection near max range seems to be what is broken and two it's very easy for things to look like they hit at that range but really the missiles destructed.
I enjoy 2x LB10x and 3x ASRM4 on my Atlas sometimes. Chain firing them creates a monstrous weapon.

Maybe they move to a different model and sell smaller packages but more often?
Fans suggested that "Crustacean Package", delivering us the Crab and King Crab. Doesn't require a timeline change yet.
They just need to find a good theme.
"Harmony Package" - Phoenix Hawk, Rifleman, Marauder, Warhammer (also available as Gold Mechs!)

Oh yes...crit hate all you want, but the LBX+SRM combo...with just a tad of pre-emptive surgical 20dmg scalples will destroy muliple sections and components in one "alpha" (in quotes, because it's a controlled staggered alpha where the ML's start 1st, and the shotguns hit at end-of-beam-duration)....quite brutal and fun WHEN it all HSR registers....

I have shot stationary light mechs (or ones running straight at me)-> no damage.
I have caved in a boomjager in 2 hits, highlander poptarts in 4.
It's completely random or actually from my thinking you have to hit a really large piece of mech for it to register damage.
Can do 700+ damage in a round or 200 shooting the same spots/same style/same opponents. SRMs are for 100% sure not working properly.

Honestly bro, every patch that goes by without SRMs being fixed deserves to have precisely this thread posted in "Patch Feedback" every single pancaking time.
Because every patch without an SRM fix is an inadequate patch at this point in the game's development. It's pretty pathetic to still have a weapons system that is blatantly broken in a game of this age.

I had two SRM-6s with artemis hit his red CT repeatedly but fail to breach his armor. It was already red so a single volley should have done it.
3 volleys later his CT was STILL red and i just gave up and used my lasers instead, at which point he popped.

As I previously discussed with my now pretty much disbanded clan, the only reason PGI is not bankrupt as of like 2 years ago is because of all the battletech fans that have been desperate for a MW game for a decade. If this was just some no franhcise game, or hell, one of the many other franchises besides battletech it would have already failed.
It is astounding that after all this time PGI is still failing so hard at basic game functionality and balance.
Back to other games again it would seem. If only hawken was not a robot skinned COD
Dude, you are on a fookin island, you aren't the target demographic. Piranha is going after this huge market of casual players whose never heard of mechwarrior. Hence the super uber third person view, arm locking and automatic deceleration. You know, all the things that heavilly gimp a new player experience. Imagine all the possible imaginary dollars that Piranha has made by ignoring key game mechanics and investing heavily in 3D artists rather than hiring people to fix their broken heat, broken weapon and targeted damage systems. Seriously, Piranha must rolling in the cash right now by releasing new maps and camo patterns, I mean look at the pent up demand they created by copying Assault and removing bases from it to make skirmish. I mean the shear amount of work invested, at least 20 man hours, was a monumental task for Piranha. Seriously, I don't even think my 6 old niece could could do the game balancer job, now my 7 year old niece, she's a sharp one and I think she would be overqualified to fit the position though.
In short, can't wait for the next iteration of mechwarrior from a different publisher. There is going to be mounds of data available to them on what not to do. The next mechwarrior game is going to be stellar.

Just because he tweeted it doesn't make it an acceptable timetable nor mean that we should stop demanding it be addressed on an acceptable timetable.

that could be fixed if we had a true general discussion area, but PGI felt we did not need 1. this is not a game balance issue either, this is PGI ***** issue and belongs in a general area, but we don't have 1 of those.

I don't have any issue with SRM other than the missiles not guiding when a Narc beacon is attached.
so you ok with missiles hitting and not doing any damage ?
