Somehow I have the feeling the lost opportunity was in the communications department.

Someone said that communication was key, but it turned out that it was too difficult, expensive, or the cryengine couldn't handle it.

I can't recall which stock reason was used.

Don't forget you need UI 2.0 to communicate, or they don't fail to communicate because they don't care, they fail to communicate because they care too much. Communication will improve 90 days after Ob, or 6 months after launch or 6 months from Clan sales. Improving communication was just their position at the time.

even mwll had a short lived planetary league with its GIGANTIC playerbase.. Of course it was done for free, by guys, in their spare time.

Its not as if the core of this game is 13 year olds who dont know any better. Its quite the opposite and really the crux of the dev rage we see here.
Oh, and yeah, pgis own words at the outset of this venture are like bile in the vets mouths. Not your fathers mw etc.
its all so woulda coulda shoulda.
I can just see gordon ramsey confronting our devs.. "where is the passion??? COME ON!>!??"

i feel like I am an honorary CHicago cubs fan still being involved in this .
