Again matches are 15 minutes long. Spooky talking ghosts dont get to determine what the living do or do not do.
This is it in a nutshell. If your dead stay constructive or SILENT! You played the game your way and died. Allow any survivors the option of finishing the match in any way they like. (Within the Actual code of conduct that is)
A single Mech
especially a Light Mech can have some great impact on Late game if they can pick their moment to strike. Oh sure some will give up and hide in hole; possible to troll, possibly over a misguided KDR fetish, nobody thinks thats good play do they? But, irritating play happens, get over it its at worst 15 mins of your life gone.
Tell you what, in an effort to be constructive. How 'bout we ask the ever attentive (heavy sarcasm) devs to consider a Discovery Bonus. For Mechs that come across shut down Mechs and blow chunks off them. If that were implemented then if your playing the waiting game and somebody gets ya then they get a small buff to their earnings/score making it worth the while of Captain frustrated to go hunt the hiding last man standing down. Need to apply a bonus only to a Mech that shoot someone that was was powered down for say 15-30 secs to avoid giving away points to those that pop an heat shutdowner in the midst of battle.
With a Mechanic like this it becomes a little better to go down in a blaze of glory than to play peek a boo, your potentiall giving the opposing team more score if they find you after all. Or maybe a simpler "solution" is to have a Penalty if your still shut down when the match ends, provided you have had at least 30+ seconds. Regardless whenever you make a mechanic up there will be some way to abuse it.
