This started happening at random games after the patch (not hotfix, though also present after that):
Sometimes when I load into a map, seemingly totally at random, I will have a whole game of what appears like being out of sync with server or massive packet loss (internet connection works fine, browsing, streaming etc) which manifests itself in crippling ways all game such as

- small adjustments to movement direction will attempt to nudge me back towards original direction after a brief delay of .5-1second

- aim will twitch back towards original position .5-1 second ago at random times

- moving close to anyone or anything, be it a building, a wall, a corner or another mech will constantly cause me to warp back a second or 2 of travelling, much like the teleporting effect when 2 mechs collide and "enter" each other, or a terrain feature drops you into a teleport loop

- i will also teleport visibly to other players in the game and they will totally have a hard time firing at me

- shots i fire have a seemingly 50/50 chance of landing where aimed. If they hit something, they either deal damage or don't. Shots fired after a moment of stillness seem to land more reliably. Infact standing still causes very little issues overall. Even a tiny bit of movement can however trigger all of the problems

- anything I type into chat either never appears there or does so with considerable delay 5-10 seconds

My ping seems rather unaffected when I drop into a game like this (it's bad regardless, northern EU..), nor is my FPS impaired. Other network traffic functions normally. After the game ends, I can drop to a new game without restarting client or anything changed and the next game can be (usually is) absolutely normal with no weird new issues. This has never happened before the patch this week. Currently running the repair tool to see if that helps, but I doubt it will change anything. It is horribly frustrating whenever a game like this happens as it is basicly just teleporting and warping back a second or 2 in time constantly, the more violent movements or actions performed, the worse it is.

So far it only affects me in the match, well and other people trying to shoot me, so I'm not yet at Glock level where I'd lag out the game for everyone, but it's still suuper annoying as it's basicly a wasted game for me :)

e: repair tool found no errors to be fixed.

Been getting this too.
But are you sure its not a pure Ping issue? Mine and some friends are getting fluctuating pings of 115 - 350+ post patch. That can certainly cause symptoms like you describe.

Had this as well not long ago - in the last hour.

Nearly everyone on both teams DC'ed over the course of the game, as they just got sick of standing around unable to move or shoot.

I stuck it out, hoping to see if it would come good after enough DC'ed but nope, game eventually ended on caps (the other team had gotten ahead slightly on conquest right at the start, so it won them the game lol).

Next match, saw someone with pings fluctuating from 50 to 600.

During the fluctuations, I couldn't move or shoot, enemies were teleporting around. By not able to shoot, I mean you can shoot at things, but nothing happens. The server has no idea where the enemy is and no damage wil register no matter where you shoot the enemy.

My ping has been rock steady, but I've been observing on the roster that there is a lot of people with massive wildly fluctuating pings right into the high hundreds to 1000.

Definitely something up with either the patch, or the servers or PGI's ISP.

I have noticed this as well. It has been happening over the past two weeks generally during U.S. peak times. I teleport all over the place and it makes the game very unplayable. I performed a traceroute (I am in Florida) to mwomercs.com when this occurs and have noted that the routers after border1.te7-1-bbnet1.tor001.pnap.net [70.42.24.132] all give 'Request Timed Out' messages. Now it could be how their routers are configured or there could be an issue up there in Canada. Here is a breakdown on why request timed out messages occur:

"Request timed out" Message - At the End of a traceroute

There are several reasons why a “Request timed out” message may appear at the end of a traceroute
  • The destination’s firewall or other security device is blocking the request. Even if a firewall is preventing the final hops at the destination from showing up in traceroute output, the destination is likely still reachable using the application you’re interested in (e.g. web/HTTP).
  • There could be a problem on the return path from the target system. Remember the round trip time measures the time it takes for a packet to travel from your system to a destination system and back. The forward route and the return route often follow different paths. If there is a problem on the return route, it may not be evident in the command output.
  • There may be a connection problem at that particular system or the next system.
I hope this helps a little bit.

Sounds like hyperspace anomalies, are you sure your jumpship followed proper procedure?

I've noticed this maybe like once, but it seems to have fixed itself once I got into a new match.

I have been having ridiculous ping issues. My ping usually runs about 50 but it goes up to like 600 sometimes like 3000, I have never had this problem before. Now I periodically check pings throughout the match. I have seen several others go nuts and I get the warping/rubber banding thing going on.

I would specify this is not the same issue that happens when the whole current match lags out so that people start DCing, this affects only myself and I can drop immediately after the match to a new one and have none of the above happen. I also do not get DCed out of the game nor do I get a session lost into login screen. I am perfectly able to stay in the game till the end, except with all the hindrances listed above, so actually fighting in the match is nearly impossible.

Also, never happened to me before the latest patch. My jumpship safety procedures were followed normally during each launch.
