DWF-B

Is this what you mean by a 4UAC10 build?

I looked at smurfy and found that people are starting to use the 6xLL stalker again. Considering the 4xLL timber wolf works quite nicely I felt there should be a dire wolf version of the mech with clan 8xLL.

Fun and easy mech to play if you set all LL to chain fire. It is possibly to core fresh enemy mechs with continus fire  .

I call it the Jaguar Cream Van ...

I recommend using module zoom for the sniping battles...

The mech is good enough to do 1000+ damage on forest colony.

Here is a more optimal version of it imho, using the new DWF-S omnipods.

I thought to make this build:

[smurfy]http://mwo.smurfy-ne...37b33f979788f3d[/smurfy]

Seems good enough but im not really sure on how good will it be for brawling or how well will it survive on its own.
Soooo what do you think?

I should probably not post this...but...
DWF-B
I run that...pretty much...oh, all the time. it runs a lot cooler than smurf makes you think.
and the best part? it will cut a lights legs OFF with a glancing pass... yup, both legs.
its comical, its light about a dozen tons...who cares?
you will die about as often as a serious build..WHY is that even possible??

Well because Daishi is oficialy not ment for brawls since everyone focuses on it and its also many times left behind.
My advice is to turn it into a heavy sniper like i did.Just give it a Gauss and 3 PPC's and some srms for close range fights and youll be fine and even if you wont get any kills you can do some serious DMG and earn yourself a great amount of C-bills from assists.

Hello,

I recently bought a DWF-Prime and I'd like your opinion on my build to improve it. I tried to do something effective medium and long-distance thing. I'm still a newbie so be gentle :)

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...d6dff496307d7e6

I also thought of installing the u/ac20, what do you think ?

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...c173e93e78a656a

Please forgive my poor English.

Those builds look pretty good, just don't fire those UAC20s at the same time. Personally I don't like UAC10s, just because of the burst time being so many shots. One thing I might mention is using omnipods. In the loadout section of your mech, if you go to a certain component you can select a different omnipod from ANOTHER DWF variant. This allows for you to utilize more parts for more builds. They are expensive so once you buy one, don't sell it. Same goes with any clan tech.

I have a few favorite builds I like to use. One is this:
2×C-GAUSS, 3×C-ERMEDL, 1×C-UAC20
Ammo according to taste. This also requires no extra heatsinks. You will need the B variant side torsos, and the A arms as omnipods. You put the gauss in the Torsi, the medium lasers in the arm with three energy, (check the actuator box) and the UAC/LBX in the other arm. This build is great for all engagement ranges. You can switch out the C-UAC20 for a C-LBX20, (I know its expensive) for dealing with lights and other mechs at close range. I have mastered all the Direwhales, so I have a lot of experience piloting them.

If you have any questions, just ask me via this forum or pm.

A real dire master only needs a gauss to deal with lights >:D

Very true. But for a beginner in the art of direwhaling, gauss-fu may be hard to do, so the shatgun is a insurance to you.

What I run my -S with: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...ea6025164882dd8

Also good, very effective. Meta build with JJ, less ammo: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...07d23f689af3abe

Finally, the Gauss-wubber: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...a7361fb63f99c88

after a few hundred battles in my dires, I wont put gauss in torso, if running pair, either left side, or right side, or even in arms
I had BETTER kills with torso mounted gauss, but.......would lose ALL weapons TOO often. then, you're a slow stupid target drone

I love my Dire Wolves and Warhawks. For some reason I don't see too many Dires with LRM's though. It always seems to give the K:D ratio a huge boost. Especially when the mechs you've targeted decide to try and run for the hills.
Anyways Heres my 3 builds I love playing with:

Ultra Nova: (8x ER LL with lvl 7 TC, radar dep, adv. zoom and maxed range & CD mods on CER LL's)

Dire Wolf B: dual gauss, LRM 40, quad ER M lasers and lvl 1 TC. Nicknamed it "Oblivion"

Dire Wolf A: 3x ER LL, LRM 40 + Gauss Rifle.

All are very fun to play with. But the K:D ratio isn't as good as my LRM 55 & LRM 70 Warhawks with ER PPC and dual ER M Lasers.

Triple Gauss Dire = best dire. 2x right side gauss on right click, Lasers + left side Gauss on left click. 2 button wonder, and almost impossible to overheat.

DWF-PRIME

Or alternate version with more alpha and less duration on the lasers, but less range:

DWF-B

Surprisingly effective Dire'd up version of the popular Wubhawk:

DWF-S

Almost as many heatsinks as the Quad LPL warhawk, all weapons fully actuated, and bonus Gauss rifle! RA LPLs on right click, LA LPLs and Gauss on left click.

I like having lasers and Gauss in the same weapon group, since you can choose if the gauss fires or not by holding down the button, or not. I have a 3rd group in all builds that fires just the lone gauss, but i rarely use it because these builds dont overheat that easily.

DWF-B

Effective and seems to terrify mechs for good reason. 5xUAC5s and an ER PPC for when ammo runs low.
