4x uac10 with 1200 damage worth of ammo, 3x ermlas.
A double tap puts out 101 damage at a very reasonable heat commitment. If you need to keep going you can keep firing the uac10s without overheating for at least a little while. It's never an issue however, because by that point you've done 181 damage in 3 seconds. If you were able to isolate a component, it's gone, even if it was an atlas ct.
You can sit around a bend from the entire enemy team in pug matches and end anything that rounds the corner; I've actually held the entire team in place before because there is no mech that is okay with taking 101 damage like that.

I'm more of a ranged fighter obviously, but it's still capable of blasting a light that makes one wrong step.
I like it, but the 3 ERLLs seem off, for me. First, that's Ghost heat popped, right then and there. So you're generating way more heat when firing all 3 at once, which you'll want to do. Second, Use a Prime arm somewhere, and slap some ERMLs, instead of that 3rd ERLL. You'll have better DPS, cooler performance at shorter ranges, and will definitely be a bigger threat to light mechs, since you won't have a nearly 2 second cooldown on those ERLLs.

The ghost heat is manageable with that many heatsinks. Actually on normal maps you can alpha 3 times before you need to switch to 2+1. I run a build similar to this.

I was running 6x uac2 and 4x mpl today and doing pretty well. Several matches over 500 and I suck. Plus it's funny to start getting good hits on Polar at 1500m or make an atlas turn tale when they realize the volume of fire they are taking.

My DWF-A runs with 4xUAC 10s
and my DWF-B runs 9xERPPCs (I ran that build long before it was cool)

I've tried this build with 12ML lasers, so didn't use the head.
BUt it gets so hot. How long do you wait between shooting the groups?
Do you use Chain Fire for any group?

And more or less to lore, its the slowest and most sluggish thing you can get, its like a mause from world of tanks. and you can't change the engine unlike IS assults, so its permaslow.
I can do 8 Er large lasers on prime and still fill all the remaining space with doubles, and have enough to pretty much maximize armor and put in the bulkiest targeting computer to get the biggest bonus with the lasers. One example of many of how much it can fit while maximizing armor.

Why not use some missles if it version with the slots, they can bombard from a far. Your thing is slow as hell so you better have something while you close the gap and they out of LOS and to use less heat than lasers, which then means you can use the rest of the heat for your lasers.

Silken is specifically talking about boating, the DWF can't really boat LRMs
