So, I spent quite some time scouring Sarna, looking for 'mechs that could possibly end up in the game. To make my list they had to meet the following criteria:

I know that some of these are exceptionally rare and will probably never make it into the game (I'm looking at you, Mackie) but I think it's nice to have a complete list anyway.

So there you go, if you see anyone speculating about a 'Mech that's not on this list, you can tell them that they're probably wrong.

Agreed. I would love it if they made the Vindicator. They'd probably be expensive for me to maintain after CW is implemented, since it's a Capellan design, but I'd probably put forth the effort to maintain a stable of them.

I've always liked the design.

- Be in production in 3051 or earlier.

- Have at least 3 variants that could be produced with our current technology.

You should use Solaris Skunkworks. It would have saved you a lot of time. You can filter by weight, year available, tech and many other things. for example there are only 2 variants of Devastator available in 3051. The DVS-X10 MUSE EARTH is 3075 and sarna doesn't list the DVS-3 (3058)

Here is a quick list of whats available through 3051: google doc made with SSW

Green is in game
Grey is not enough varients
Red is in game but out of timeline! (according to SSW and solaris7.com, RS3085u-PP just says "clan invasion")

These are my picks from the available list that I'd like to see in game because they'd round out game play and give enough units for each house for faction based economy to warfare.

20t - Flea (don't really need another 20 tonner after this but if the Kurita jocks make a rally for the Thorn, I wouldn't be opposed)
25t - Mongoose (better choice according to lore the Dart is just now starting production in the IS)
30t - Javelin (Fedrats)
35t - Panther (iconic DC/FRR mech); Firestarter (most likely the next planned light release)
40t - Assassin (FWL/CapCon); Clint (CapCon/Fedrats)
45t - Vindicator (CapCon)
50t - Crab (pt.1 of bucket o' crab sale!)
55t - Dervish (Fedrats)
60t - Rifleman (we might be able to get a little more unseen in MWO)
65t - Crusader (the only option, we don't really need another of this tonnage anyway)
70t - Grasshopper (iconic mech, poptart or great light/medium hunter)
75t - Marauder (part 2 of reseen double pack)
80t - Zeus (iconic LCAF); Charger (Hatomoto Chi is DC variant)
85t - Crockett (Katana is a Kurita Crockett)
90t - Cyclops
95t - Banshee
100t - King Crab (pt. 2 of bucket o' crab sale!)

Just add the Bushwacker please. The S2 doesn't have any tech that is not available now.

100 ton assault mech called the Imp, not a good name. A Light mech called the Imp makes sense.

As much as I would love a vindicator the truth of the matter is this game is in DIRE need of a Phoenix hawk. Something 45 tons, lightening quick with jumpjets lasers and light ballistics.

As much as I would love it too, it doesn't fit to the timeline. It's 2 years away actually (if the year is now 3051 like the clock says). Neither we get my belowed Uziel or Chimera : (

From that list I want Mauler.

Or they could just drop the timeline thing and give us IS Omnis like the Bushwacker after the initial surge of Clan mechs. Like, right after this initial batch that's incoming later this year.

Hell, if they keep the 1:1 timeline thing we might not see some of the more fun things till 3-5 years from now. Ugh. Rotary autocannons, damnit. Plus I want alternate ammo types for regular ACs and LRMs. And other fun things.

I guess the chances of all those things going in are probably as likely as PGI putting in mechs that would get them sued if they even vaguely resemble their original design (Marauder, Rifleman, all the other Macross mechs, those 'unseen' are still iffy. The non-Macross stuff is fine because it's no longer going to attract lawsuits.)

There are only 4 Mech's out of that list that I would like to see that haven't been released, the Mauler and Zeus which are 3057 Mech's, along with the Panther. The Fafnir is one that is missing from that list though, which is also a 3057 Mech but probably one of the coolest designs to come out of the Inner Sphere. The Annihilator is a Star League era design and most of them disappeared when Kerensky led his followers out of the Inner Sphere, but it's something that I would love to see revived.

Also, IIC versions of the Inner Sphere chassis already available to us would be awesome, if they could be tied into the Clan Invasion that would be sweet, maybe a separate but cheaper package and include only the chassis that are currently in game with 3 variants for each since the majority of them have multiple variants.

The Commando, Griffin, Highlander, Shadow Hawk, Jenner, Locust, Orion and Thunderbolt all have IIC variants that utilize Clan weaponry, it would be awesome to see them introduced as a sort of counter to Clan Mech's, rather then people just outfitting IS Mech's with Clan weapons.
