I leveled that when there was actual missile splash damage so your results may vary.

If you load 4 streaks, you are essentially anti-light. but 4 streaks are pretty worthless against heavy/assaults, you can still run large ACs like 10 or LBX10s if you use XL
If you load 4 LRM5, you are a support mech, with both ballistic and LRM function. But stay out of 180m to maintain your optimal firepower. Your ACs might be a little smaller due tonnage for LRM ammo. Also consider TAG. Due to extra 4 ton, Artemis seems like a poor choice here.
If you load 4 SRM4, you are a upfront brawler. You need to get in close, within 200 meter upload SRMs. Beware of jumping in too soon, 1 vs more is a sure way to die fast, go in there as group. Using XL engine gets you bigger guns. but if you want to run 4 SRM6, you need to watch out for ghost heat with alphas. Using SRM6 may also limit your ammo capacity. If you stay alive you will run out.

Why not this instead? Keeps the same flavour, while moving faster, being more responsive, and losing 2% of the heat efficiency only.

Nope, not going to work.....he's talking about the JM6-A and you built it on a JM6-DD.

Well that's a DD not an A. However...
That looks like a really unoptimised build. Choosing FF over ES is probably always pointless. It costs the same number of slots but frees up less tonnage. FF is only useful on builds where you can take FF and ES together. If you switch to double heat sinks you don't need any heat sinks on that build other than the 10 doubles that come with the engine. There's not a lot of armour there on that build. The arms have your weapons in so armour is important there, although most players will shoot for you're side torsos to take out that XL however the torsos are low on armour too. That's not really enough ammo and it's stored in a side torso with an XL which makes the design even more fragile.
You can tweak that build by moving to DHS and choosing ES over FF. It's hard to get enough ammo even bumping it down to an XL 255 (just 5 tons) but at least you're well armoured now other than skimping on the legs. Ammo is moved away from the XL engine.
