Amazing game.
Graphics are excellent and very immersive on 3 monitors.
I need help tho.
I am a super newb when it comes to Mechwarrior. Are there any newb friendly guilds/corps/clans that helps new players?
I played back in April, but got sidetracked with out of town work stuff.
Thanks!

Here is a great list of servers open to the public.
You're welcome to join me on House Kurita or Ronin Legion. NGNG and the two Comstar servers also offers excellent open-drop services where you can drop in with players without neccesarily being in a merc
Additionally you can always check the Outreach forum (as a rookie you won't be able to post yet, but you can read!) Look for mercs with your time zone or other preferences, and ones looking for 'casual' experience as opposed to competitive.

As per Redshift2k above, I recommend the NGNG or Comstar servers. Easy to find people to drop with (and populating that friend list for later!), and plenty of help on-hand if you ask for help/advice from more experienced players.

I'm part of a nonstructured group that is open to helping new players get on their feet and get used to moving as a group and using tactics. We have people who are really skilled, dedicated players to those who are just looking to blow up big, stompy robots. We are free to join take all comers. Though we focus more on Lone Wolf pilots anyone can join as an affiate and have access to our teamspeak. If you are a lone wolf and decide to go to a house group after awhile, you're always welcome to drop in and show us how you've improved. http://www.ronin-kensei.enjin.com/

There are many groups that see MWO as both a game and a chance for fellowship. I am part of the Seraphim. Along with being nice to new players, we also promise not to use profanity, so parents need not fear what might spill out of the computer's speakers. We also have practice sessions where those known for brawling or recon or support try to pass on those skills to others.

The game is much better in groups....Find a Regiment with a Teamspeak Server. My Regiment The Skye Rangers is one that actually has 2 sections specifically for new players to learn and have fun with the game until such time as you are ready for something new. Look us up or others and enjoy the game even more!

I can endorse Zeece's outfit for new players. ;-)
