Thats the question that never gets answered,.. :)

It's simple. There's not enough people in the queues to justify it, unfortunately.

Even if they implement it (which they won't, but humor me), what is there from a solo PUG to accuse the other team that actually used teamwork (and/or a "hidden syncdrop premade")?

Here's a simple fact... people that don't want to work together, die together. It's that's simple. It doesn't matter whether you are a premade or solo PUG. You want to do things your way? Good luck, you'll probably fail more than succeed.

Allow me to jump in and say something quick. It's something I feel the need to mention in most any thread that sees these same arguments, and something which is a point in favor of the OP's notions. Since I'm apparently back to playing MWO now, I may as well start taking my licks in the forum again, too.

Anyways. The pertinent point is this: I don't like you people.

Don't take it personally - I don't like anybody I don't know. I've played a lot of XBL, and in my case pretty much the first thing I did any time it was an option was global-mute everyone who wasn't specifically in my party/friends list. When XBL introduced the 'party' concept, I jumped on board it with a giant smile on my face, not a regret in the world, and nary a single look back. Because the safe assumption in any online game ever is that absolutely everyone in it is a gigantic douchetrolling jerkfaceface, and it is an assumption that I positively live by.

I have no interest in joining a premade clan/group who will then proceed to tell me I have one week in which to purchase and outfit whatever up-to-the-minute assault 'Meta du jour is the in thing this month. I have no interest in 'improving my game' by having people bellow at me at the top of their lungs whenever I so much as step three steps out of line, or attack something other than the one target the entire company is firing on (that I don't have a sightline on anyways because eleven other douchebears are in the way jockey for killing shot), or for that matter simply learn that I own Dragons. I don't even have to be piloting the Dragons - just the knowledge that I have them is enough to get me blacklisted from nine out of ten of the pr0 g@m!ng groups around this cesspool.

I don't particularly care if I fight against premades or not. Nor do I blame premades for my losses. But assuming the ease with which one can (potentially) find a group to play with on the forums means there's no need for a better system of organization in-game is folly. Even premades could make use of a simple, robust command system, and some of the rest of us wouldn't mind seeing how it worked out.

Certainly couldn't be worse than people constantly harping on us to go and become nameless faceless cogs in some forum regular's personal war machine, to be beaten with a hammer any time it dares show signs of rebellion.

Dont' know what kind of "groups" you're used to playing with but we don't ahve anything like that in Marik. Sure there's a few dedicated 12 man groups that are pretty rigid. Most of us are just pugs playing with whatever mechs we like at whatever skill level we have.

Keep in mind I'm not picking on you, I'm just pointing out that this particular preconceived notion (when it comes to Marik anyhow) is completely wrong.

@1453 R -

Don't fall for this. Those Marik guys... they start out all friendly, then they have you buying them beer and smokes. Then they invite you to the hot tub party and it's all 'no no, this is perfectly natural. You'll only feel uncomfortable the first time....'

Don't do it. It's a slippery slope. Player orgs are dangerous and full of bad people and bad touching. Don't get in the van.

Yuk yuk yuk.

Yeah, I know. To anyone currently in/satisfied with a player group, I sound like a raving lunatic. Here's the deal, BillyBob SC - I just got back to this game after taking...how long's it been since Phoenix released? Basically, that plus an extra couple three weeks off the game because I couldn't deal with Piranha anymore. They've made strides, and so I'm back, but tell me...do you know of one single player group that would've put up with most of a quarter's sabbatical?

Do you know of one single player group that'd put up with a guy whose pre-Phoenix 'Mech list looked like an illustrated guide on How Not to be a Successful Meta-Chasing C-Bill Farmer in MWO? (For the curious: Dragons, Cicadas, Trebs, a brief run on Victors, and only just now a third Jenner/awkwardly-shaped Javelin. In that order. As well as the usual drip-and-drab one-offs for the sake of trying something new. Not a single Centurion, Cataphract or Stalker in the entire list. Except Yen-Lo-Wang, who doesn't count anyways.)

Do you know of one single player group that'd put up with me taking two weeks off because they released a particularly juicy Living Story update over in Guild Wars 2 and I wanted to focus on that in my scant spare gaming time rather than pound out my required two hours daily grind time in MWO?

I play what I want, I play when I want, and I stop playing when I want, as well. I'm hardly alone in that behavior, but it's also behavior that is utterly and entirely incompatible with the player groups that formed up here in MWO. Telling me that all my problems with the game would be solved if I just stopped being an antisocial cheesegrater and joined a group already is basically telling me to stop playing what/when I want and to conform to some powermongering {Richard Cameron}'s schedules and spreadsheets, playing what he thinks is the most effective and efficient way to scam the meta and doing it on a regular schedule.

Excuse me, I have a job already. I am hardly about to take on a second one, especially one where the boss expects me to pay him.

EDIT: Somebody's been having fun with the cuss filters. Bravo, Piranha. Bravo.

We shall see how good u.i.2 really is , and then idea's can be thrown at it, but ui2 isn't going to stop people doing their own thing in a match.

neither is viop

You must know the type being mentioned they appear in every online game.

You will log in a 8-12 CET you will call me sir, you will only pilot medium mech, be second healer, off tank when I deside your good enough, you will get kicked out the first team of you don't show up for practice on friday, no your mothers funeral does not come before the team, I don't care if you had to go pee, we were fighting the boss and next time you use a bucket.

They don't enjoy the game they suffer from it and make others suffer because they can't keep their ego's in check.

But I think the post was somehow in jest, as I don't really think he had to show people where he was touched on the action man.

Well I hope not.. :)

Yes they have 1453 R you can't say cockrel bluetit or coletit

yay yes you can..now rofl..at least you don't have to call male chickens roosters anymore, or miss out an entire specie of bird now..

good to know my Pheonix money wasn't wasted on a bang up christmas party

Exactly. I started looking to group up and give teams a try but that just what I found. The premade masters bullying here on the forums exist out there too. I want to enjoy the game not bow to some 40 year old goof who has done nothing but play games all his life.

A lot of occupiers here will tell you that teamspeak is the way to go. My opinion differs. I say pug and learn hard and when you start scoring well as a pug move up to team play. My reasoning is simple. Most premades are not all that good and they are dependent on each other and comms. Had a glorious day this summer when for some reason the voip servers were inconsistent. Throughout the day we randomly cleaned the clocks of regular premades and only the good players stood out.
Pugs had pretty even matches that day and I found that pugs being more independent and looking for clues on team movement did well when no one had comm advantage.

Of course the usual crowd will tell you otherwise but check their names against 12v full team matches. You will never see them there. That's the key.

Take the road less traveled and you will be better for it.

ROTFLMAO

Oh my Goddess are you serious? YOU?

ROTFLMAO

You are hysterical. In another thread you go on about how good you are and yet you end up in the same drops as me. In every single game I've played with you, the first thing you do after you die is whine about evil premade groups and their viop.

For someone who thinks that premades are not that good you sure are quick to blame them for being killed. I've never seen you blame your bad judgment, lack of skill or anything. It is *always* the evil premades with their comm advantage.

Frankly it is fun to play against you because we all get a laugh no matter how badly we do. It is so predictable and funny.

To address the actual point, I drop with friends all the time now. We dont use viop because most of us, myself included, do not have headset or there is a language barrier since I tend to play with a lot of Euro players. Sometimes we do well and sometimes we get stomped. What we do try to do is look out for each other. That means keeping an eye out where your lance mates are, dropping your chance for glory to save their bacon, trying to target the same targets. It is basic team work and it helps without any gadgets.

From what I see, those Pugs who attempt to work together do well. Those where everyone is trying to be a hero, get the most kills and try for bragging rights tend to get stomped.

As far as premades, most are just friends who drop together. They don't practice regularly. They do not designate roles in the group. They just hang out and have fun.

Which is the point of this game.

PUG and Premade have to be seperated. As a PUG only player I'm not interested in beeing the fill up for a premade group. Especially not, when the premade group sucks or acts like a****holes*. For example blaming everyone to be kill stealers (at the beginning of a match) and refusing to play with the rest of the team.

I don't have to try anything. You do it yourself. I don't care if you know me or not. I remember you because you were in my very second game and blamed premades right after you did. The first time I did a drop with a friend and you were on the opposing team, she was like "wait for it. He always blames premades" and sure enough you did. The next game I played against you, a couple people in team chat told the rest of us you would be blaming premades the minute you died and BOOM there it was.

Whenever I have seen you since then all you do is blame premades. I don't care what you think of me but I take responsibility when I do poorly. All you do is whine about premades.

It's a PUG life. Sometimes I see 4mans on my side, or think I do. And they stomp/get stomped about equally. Sometimes I get accused of being in a 4man. Nope, not all Space Vikings know each other. But I have zero desire to split the queus into PUGs only and Premades only. Won't help anything.

Unless I can choose to PUG in the premade queue? Cuz the "waaaah premades are evil" crowd won't be there...
