Allow me to explain. If we start with this special premium mech. What happens if/when we delete our special mech. Is it gone forever? or Will we always have access to "rebuying" that one founder mech type for the life of the account?
The reason I ask is I know I will move on from the founders mech I pick. If the founders mech is a once ever kind of special mech (meaning if we delete it its gone forever) wouldn't that mean we as founders will be stuck with one mech slot permanently filled to keep from losing our special mech?
Personally I would like the option to always have that founders mech chassis available as a free rebuy incase I ever delete it.
Whats your opinion?

Will elite founders always have their premium mech?

Only way to delete a mech would be to sell it from what I understand of the game........if you sell it I doubt they would give you an option to buy it back......though they might give you a small buyback window like other MMOs do if you sell something by mistake.
I think it would only be in the rare instance if you did it by accident; hacked would they give it back; but if you choose to sell the mech off then go oh I want it back a month later......I don't think there should be an option to do that.
You need to remember mech's weren't exactly available to everyone - lots were handed down through families - they were well looked after - capturing mechs was very much sought after as it helped filled your lance with mechs and or parts......

Re. being permanently down a slot, not really. Remember, everyone has to get some sort of mech to stat with. Founders have a leg up on that starting mech: probably better tonnage, and certainly the cbill/xp bonus per match with that mech only, IF non-founders want to pick up a mech, they have to sell one of the ones they already have, and it will probably be that one mech they never use. If a founder wants to pick up their 5th mech, they have to sell one of the ones they have. If the new mech is so much better than the starting mech and its founder bonuses, then you won't be using the founding mech anywya, so just sell it.
I think the objective in limiting users to 4 slots is to encourage users to acquire one mech of each class (or give up one weight class to pickup a second in the users favored class)

It doesn't look like the Devs are selling space for Mechs but rather selling Mechs.

"No limit" is not the same as "no limit for free."

I plan to only spend my founder's real-money on things that I can't grind cbills for. It wouldn't shock me if that included hangar space, as that is something that does not lead directly to additional power (and it would be something that even casual grinders who don't care about things like paint jobs and the like might want to buy. Yay revenue!)

With 80$ worth of real currency, I think I'll be able to afford that extra slot for that founders mech.
It'll be 20 years until I can buy a Celestial, so I'm not particularly worried. Good question, though. We'll have to wait and see.

The founders mech might not even be sellable and/or you might get an extra mechbay slot for it. We dont know those things yet.

True. I made this post more as speculation. The devs have ramped up their informational drops alot in the last few weeks then last November.
