

Respawn Game Mode?

Game is fun while we are fighting, but there is no respawn game mode. There is to much loading between matches, why can't we just play with re spawns to higher objective counts?
Currently its about 2-10 minutes of play followed by 2-3 minutes for loading to the next game. That is seriously killing the enjoyment.
Why not 20 - 30 minute games with respawns? Any reason not to add this mode for those of us who don't care about "realism" in a game with giant robots and lasers?

Still doesn't seem unreasonable, especially from a business standpoint. More game mode options attracts more players who like different styles of play.

At least that's my take on it, I've only been with MechWarrior since MechWarrior 3.

But after the battle you just go back to the loading screen and click launch again. If you were "dead" then there is no more launching. I still don't see the difference, why not just explain you re-spawn as a different person joining as reinforcements. Like I said the only difference is a 2-3 minute respawn
I don't want them to remove the current one spawn game modes, but it wouldn't hurt to have options for a player base that might want to play a different way.

I don't see how this unbalances play, especially if reinforcements are in waves and not instant. Admittedly it would certainly change tactics, but that's a good thing as it brings more variety.
As a separate mode, I think it would be great.

Yes if we had Limited re-spawning I could go for it in some ways. But right now I prefer the things as they are. Makes a Kill a wee bit more satisfying knowing that the enemy is permanently down one dude. or perhaps I should restate that. A kill makes you feel you did something when your smoked yourself.. at least you took one with you.
If there is a limited "dropship full" of reinforcements that allow you to pull a re-spawn for that's fine. Sooner or later you run out and the side that has reserves left should win out. But please not unlimited re-spawns unless that's a one off game mode I can opt in or out of as the mood strikes!

I say bring it on! My kind of game! Yeah I played Mech Assault 1&2! Yeah I loved it, yeah it was a great game, yeah it wasn't canon, guess what!?! This game isn't canon either!
Also I'm looking forward to this game coming to PS4 the F2P console of the future! That and steambox!

This introduces a new set of problems which are easily overcome if (and I'm with you on this one Imperius) you add the key element that made Mech Assault 2 - the ability to climb in and out of your Mech, into MWO.
This would change the game dynamic and make it more interesting. It would also open up a lot of scope for new elements to be introduced into the game and drastically extend mission times.
By now you've probably guessed that I worked through MechAssault 2 and would be happy to see the Drop Ship + replacement Mechs (If it worked as above) introduced. and yes, I know it's not canon; I'm just not as vocal as Imperius.

The only thing I wanted MechAssault to have was first person, hence MWO. Everyday it gets closer to being MechAssualt with first person.
Only gripes for MWO
No single player yet
No respawn mode with pilots
No fusion engine meltdowns (should happen every time you CT a mech, even a headshot no computer there if you blow the cockpit out)
No VTOL
They got my $500 of support so I'm pushing for single player and these features.

Exactly how it is now with skirmish and assault.
And the only thing spoiling the game is the sh!tty matchmaker.
