Too bad they canned the old dropship idea (multiple mechs per match).

When did this happen? AFAIK it's still going to be implemented?

As to Lux....

Dropship mode is exactly what I was expecting to fill an extended game mode. You load up 4 mechs and then as opposed to a respawn mode you have those 4 mechs available to drop into the game with.

I'm all for a longer game mode, It breaks the monotony of drop fight 6 minutes later doing it again.

I don't like respawn idea for this game though. Mech goes boom, mech is done.

i love it MWLL games were really great and ppl still playing it because of the game mode.

huge map several objectives capturing base is a must. And tactic is existing. At the moment we can have 2-4 strategic option in a map but its usualy just 2 and because we cant respawn and join to the fight again large maps arent funn to play but fighting for (respawn) landing points. is a nice progresive game mode.

i would love to choose my own mechs what i pre build with modules in it, or trial mehchs.

But ur idea that l could try a hero mech for 75-120 MC this is simply genius Waoo i love it and i would go for it quiet often probably it would even make me buy some of the hero mechs what i really found funn to play. if i bought them i can choose them any time for resource points man write a letter to supportMWO  this is a win-win

i bought the 5X cicada and i really hated the play stile so i havent bought the Hevy Mettal, Orion and the Yen-lo-wang bechause this reason but if i could try it. it may change my mind. im sure i would get at least 2 of them.

Mech goes boom, mech is done. You gotta spend money to either refit if you can (R&R), respawn because you survived and have the C-bills and time, or if you didn't survive, get a new mech whether or not you leveled up a rank or not (so really you could stay with the same Locust the entire game, or you could slowly level from Locust to Atlas.

I love MWLL as well, it's a fun game when people are on.

The problem with choosing your own mechs would be that everyone would mitigate to the same ones again and again, and that is one problem if both teams just are full Highlander teams or something.

You could try a hero mech for a certain (not sure how much) amount of MC or any special mechs in that case but firstly, you have no modifying options, secondly, once you die you lose it and that MC that you spent.

x-5 seems to actually be the best Cicada plus the 3M. 2A is a decent third, with 2B being a bit gimped and 3C being very gimped. The idea is still sorta being worked on, but thanks for all the feedback.

Ah, I see then. I dunno, though it's been a while since that has been posted. Plus according to the plan, PGI is placing respawns, dropships, and bases, but I'm having doubts now.

Sounds like it isn't going away jsut being changes a bit.

I can see where having multiple weight classes for your 4 mechs would be hard to match up with 16 mechs per lance and 4 lances per team that's 64 mechs per side that could vary from 20-100 tons per mech with the drop weight restrictions I can see where that would be difficult.

So we still ahve it, just have to stick to your chosen weight class for the match and still only get one mech per match (which I'm actually ok with)

I AM a little disappointed though

We "still have it" in the sense that The UK "still has" a monarchy.

In name, only ;P.
