The Blazing Aces are now hiring! We are currently recruiting experienced and veteran pilots, and will be expanding to host two organized league teams for the upcoming season. We placed in Run Hot or Die playoffs last season, and we plan to do even better in the next!
Interested pilots should register a forums account on www.blazingaces.info and submit a post to our recruitment forum; one of our officers will be with you shortly!
About The Blazing Aces
The Blazing Aces originated in MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries, formed by the previous 1st Gold Knights / Free Worlds League in NBT4; since then, we’ve flown the banner for over a decade in various games, and were among the very first units to reform prior to closed beta in MechWarrior: Online with several of the original members still in command positions.
Today, we are actively focused on MechWarrior: Online (Though many of our members also play other games including an extensive Star Citizen section), with a desire to compete at the highest levels possible here.
Our pilots are required to run meta-vetted builds in our organized drops and we focus heavily on organized discipline for following DC orders and target calls. We try to give pilots with experience and interest in command positions some experience in the role on some training nights as well.
We host our own TeamSpeak 3 server. Feel free to stop by if you are looking to contact us about a scrimmage, or have questions for a recruiting officer. Please note that channels currently hide players if you do not have permissions, so please idle in a lounge channel and someone will be with you shortly. It may look empty even when numerous members are on, depending on the channel!

Ranking Structure
We use a unique rank structure based on a card structure. Joker is our version of a Cadet rank, and is also assigned to friends & family that play with the unit casually. 2 is the starting full rank, with combat ranks going up to 10. Most pilots ranked over 7 are veterans that have opted to remain a pure combat pilot, rather than taking on command responsibilities.
Our officers are recognizable by face suites. Jack is the beginning officer position, with King and Queen being an equal rank above that. Most of our suite commanders are generally Kings or Queens. Ace is the highest rank, and is the only rank unassociated with a division. Aces can include unit leaders, or founding members that help in other capacities such as our website.
Divisional Structure
The Blazing Aces have four divisions. Pilots are not forced to play within their division but a Drop Commander is likely to pick pilots from specific divisions to fit their tactics to play to the pilot’s suited role.
The Clubs
The close range brawlers of the Blazing Aces, the Clubs specialize in short-range weaponry first, and practice getting the most out of it in any kind of engagement. Common weapons of the Clubs include AC/10s and 20s, SRMs, ER PPCs, Lasers.
The Diamonds
The Diamonds are the artillery in the Blazing Aces. Focusing primarily on direct-fire weaponry, the Diamonds focus on engagement ranges that are generally out of the Club’s reach. Favoring medium to assault ‘mechs with PPCs, ER PPCs, Gauss, AC/5s, ER Large and occasionally LRMs, the Diamonds also favor high-ridging and jump capable ‘mechs to remain mobile.
The Hearts
The Hearts are a combination of jack of all trades style pilots, and those that are interested in medium ‘mech cavalry roles. They focus on loadouts that tend to function in any range bracket, favoring versatile guns such as the AC/5. Some Hearts are simply good at multiple division roles, and prefer to play what is needed in most cases.
The Spades
The Spades are the light ‘mech forces within the Blazing Aces, filling a number of roles including flankers, harassers, scouts, ECM Coverage, and base rescue. The Spades have some of the best light ‘mech pilots in the game and often more than a match for any counter light force they encounter.
The OMTC
The Blazing Aces are currently looking for units to join us in a training alliance for regular scrimmages, called the OMTC - Outreach Mercenary Training Command. If you are interested please stop by and drop us a message at our forums! Your unit would be allowed onto our TeamSpeak and setup with a channel and admin permissions to setup custom ranks/groups as needed.
We’re really interested in units that are looking for weight-based competitive training and think this would be a great way to go about it! Also feel free to get into contact with us about the OMTC at blazingaceshpg@gmail.com.
