Well, I made a note of the first seven games I played today. Only the scores, didn't check the weights.
12 - 1 win
2 - 12 loss
6 - 12 loss (looks better than it actually was)
12 - 4 win
12 - 1win
12 - 3 win

I would call all of these a one sided drubbing, and followed the usual pattern of all dead in 3 mins, spend 2 looking for the last 1 or 2 mechs. In the 2nd game I was the last alive, and second to last alive in the 3rd game (no i wasn't hiding, the bigger mechs around me were just juicier targets than the wolverine I was in). To be fair, shortly after these i had some real good games, even had an 11-12 (finished up as a 1 on 1, bewtween a ½ stripped stalker, and a one legged Griffin).
I enjoyed loosing these harder fought, close games a lot more than being on the winning side of a drubbing. It's a funny ol game :-)

Well, that's true for all of us. But like I said, once a team to get up by two kills, it's over for the other side. And those first two kills happen out of lack of coordination and teamwork more than anything else.

I'm actually really worried that weighting matches by tonnage will be even worse. Right now, ELO is the important factor and weight is the variable. But if you weight by tonnage, ELO will become the variable. That will result in just as many curbstomps as before, only now people won't be able to explain it and will get discouraged. I fear that weight tonnage will only lead to further loss of morale in MWO. And if you force players into certain mechs and take away their choice, it will only make things even worse.

Unless, of course, you weight by both tonnage and ELO. But then you'll just never be able to find a match because of the premades. Weighting by ELO is not perfect, but it's the lesser of two evils. I'm really adamant on that.

The game will experience a renaissance in April when private matches become available. At the very least, I think it will lead to fewer premades thrown in amongst the pugs and therefore the ELO matchmaker will perform better.

I am noticing something seriously broken with the matchmaker recently.
Basically what is happening is I would end up carrying most of my games but still lost nearly every time.
It's almost like the matchmaker decides I shall make up for tons of crappy players while the enemy team has decent players all around.
Even then I only consider myself a "decent" player so seeing myself carry so hard is quite the worry.

But I seriously can't explain how the MM is being so bad right now, it appears tonnage-wise it's relatively normal but it seems some hidden cause is messing up stuff.

havent seen this kind of failure in the balance of teams,,almost every game in the last week been a 12 to 2,,12 to 0 ,,think i get one good knoc down drag out fight where it dont matter if u win or lose it was great game maybe per day,,the rest are just so lame and almost a waiste of my time,

It's been like this for weeks now. I stopped playing because of it.

The weight totals here are 975 - 840, not all that bad.

Are you insane? That isnt close at all in the MWO world. 135 MORE tons is a **** load of armor to shoot through and its at the minimum, two extra mechs worth of tonnage to destroy.
