How is it described in the novels? I've read Blood of Kerensky but don't remember how that Wolfhound was described, I do remember the name though, 'Grinner'.

It was described as a lean, vicious looking war machine, like an Avatar of Anubis, where the wolf like head elemetns was really pronounced. Although I took some liberties with the legs, I always envisoned it like this

The lean and vicious I remember (vaguely) but the bit about Anubis? What book (Novel, Manual, what have you) was that from?
I like the pic BTW - but it doesn't quite say Wolfhound to me so much as rabid fox (not the mech RF, but the animalistic concept)

Some elements of the old one were good (the nose bit) but would have made the new one more (to?) crowded I think.
I had that panel on the front but it looked like a nose with the grill on the front as the mouth and once I saw that I couldn't NOT see it, so it had to go

In the Warrior trilogy. Riposte, actually, I believe. But also in other later novels.

I really like the feel of your artwork style! I'd love to see what you'd do with a Centurion or Shadow Hawk
AKA two of my favorite Mechs

Did you like the Warrior Trilogy Bishop? I haven't read those yet.
So far I've only read The Blood of Kerensky, Heir to the Dragon, Double Blind, Wolves on the Border...I might be forgetting a couple.
