AKA two of my favorite Mechs :P

Did you like the Warrior Trilogy Bishop? I haven't read those yet.

So far I've only read The Blood of Kerensky, Heir to the Dragon, Double Blind, Wolves on the Border...I might be forgetting a couple.

IMO (for what it's worth), the foundation of all things battletech is the Warrior Trilogy, Gray Death Trilogy and Wolves on the Border. Heir to the Dragon and the Blood of Kerensky come in behind those.

The lean and vicious I remember (vaguely) but the bit about Anubis? What book (Novel, Manual, what have you) was that from?

I like the pic BTW - but it doesn't quite say Wolfhound to me so much as rabid fox (not the mech RF, but the animalistic concept)

Dan stopped short, his breath taken away by what he saw. Standing across the wide ferrocrete aisle stood a BattleMech. It was as tall as its fellows, but the ferocious leanness of the 'Mech immediately suggested capability for great speed. Its left hand was fully articulated, but the muzzle of a heavy laser replaced its right. Painted in the black and crimson colors of the Kell Hounds, it looked like a nightmare beast. From a Kurita nightmare . . .
Three medium laser ports dotted the 'Mech's chest left, right, and center to form three corners of a triangle pointing up toward the 'Mech's head. Dan's smile seemed to match the lupine grin on the 'Mech's head. Reminiscent of ancient Terran-Egyptian portrayals of gods, the 'Mech's wolf's-head design gave it an aggressive, fearsome aspect. Dan saw immediately that its ears served as sensor and communications pick-ups, and he mentally congratulated the designer for the way he had perfectly melded form and function.

Take the eyes off and it looks a lot less goofy - but yeah. :D

Edit: forgot to respond to Bishop

Forgotten that little bit - or rather I remembered his introduction to the mech - just not his comparison to Anubis.

Edited Edit of DOOM!:

On second thought, I think they eyes make it more goofy than the nose bit does though!

I really like the feel of your artwork style! I'd love to see what you'd do with a Centurion or Shadow Hawk :(

Regret saying that now?

everytime I see the wolfhound it reminds me of the action figure hot shot from Starriors back in the 80's, awesome job on the art work.

I really like your clean style, they would look very good in a new animated Battletech series.

I particularly like the accurate loadout for the Gargoyle and the sensibly sized missile holes ;) My only minor critique would be to make the Centurions head crest a bit larger but that is only personal preference on my part.

Do us a Barghest please :D

I'm starting to run out of steam (I've been up for many, many hours at this point :D ) But I started roughing out a Barghest (Obviously it's still very rough and he's still missing some legs and some lasers) I'll finish it off when I wake up.

Don't let yourself run to far outa steam!

Since this is fan-work (I would assume ;)) please work at your own pace - burnout sucks!

Having said that - I am very much looking forward to seeing more of your art! :D

Finally finished the Barghest. Be gentle, I know I went pretty far off the reservation with it.

If I haven't completely chased everyone off, does anyone have any suggestions for Mechs to draw?

Also should I start a new open-ended thread for my {Scrap} or just keep using this one?

would love to see your take on these.

Something Steiner... Hollander or Axeman, perhaps?
