hit reg issues with the srm. Other then that brawling is alive and well, though it gets harder the higher elo you are.

SRMs are still bad due to hitreg. Lasers are the same as they've always been. Brawling happens sometimes or late in a match but most of the damage is dealt via alpha strikes at medium-long range.

Hey hey. Welcome back. Oh, and well, balance is terrible these days. Almost as bad as before and more convoluted in other ways. You haven't missed much.

I'm actually doing well with this and having quite a bit of fun with it. It's definitely what I would consider a support mech though. The XL engine makes it a little less durable but it's a fun build
Lasers are about what they always have been (depending on if you were around for implementation of ghost heat)
SRMs need hit detection love
PPCs I see em but they aren't anything special in my opinon but they're in a good spot
ACs....
well depends on your opinion I guess. They're a good brawling weapon. Yesterday's patch slowed the AC10 & 20 projectile speeds which has nerfed their long range effectiveness a bit but they're still beastly at their optimal ranges.

Well, they've switched from running PPCs and Gauss in our Elo to running 2x PPCs + 2x AC 5s (or UAC 5s). Until yesterday it was 2x PPCs + 1 AC 20 but that's changing back to the 5s again.
Still snipers hopping everywhere.

Some people complain that 20% of the weapons are underpowered, but that's no biggie. For me there's an enormous difference between the game last spring and the current one.
