Lot of effects going on in that video to sell this mech to dumb kids.

Similar situation going on with the Oxide video. I actually like the direction and style, and the music's pretty good too for this one. It all looks to be in-engine, so I give them a pass on this.

Check out the 3PV. The Hunchie has new Animations (walk), too!

Hunchies do not walk. They swagger.

That's the 4H, which somehow keeps it's hunch if it's empty even though the 4J doesn't. :(

Ballistics, apparently. Because even if the hunch is devoid of weaponry it's clearly OP just by virtue of being able to hold a ballistic weapon.

I like how we have weapons coming out of the hinge used to open the hunch with.

Yea, I don't think the model update was the most well though out update they have done. The more I see it, the less of a fan I am of it.

Agreed. But I do like what PGI is trying to do. They just need to go that extra step. And who knows. maybe this is step 1 of 2, or 3.

Yea, I agree that they made these adjustments when they could have just said...Nah, chassis is done, ignore it.

I just feel that some of it feels rushed. Who know, maybe they might tweak it again somewhere down the road. Still though, I can't help but think the Hunch should have hidden ballistics (no visibile barrels) with such a large "hump". The main cannon version has an A/C20 on its shoulder and the models never showed a barrel at all. It was all contained in the hump casing.

To me, this is what it should have looked like...

3 gun barrels inside the one existing opening of the hump. I would flip the image upside-down though since the hump is larger and squared off at the top.

I suppose it is like the Cat A1's missile racks. A lot of access "stuff" showing that could stay a hidden more.

probably the reason behind the visible ballistic is to allow other players to eyeball your weapon load out without a lock.

why, the whole point of a lock is to gain info on the target (or lock on for lock on weapons)
its perfectly fine for you to need to lock to know loadout (though there needs to be a way to see teammate loadouts)

honestly i find this as bad as the catapult one, which was pretty horrible as is, it basically made sure only the k2 and the C4(?) look right, as having more then 1 weapon in the arms screws it all up)

whoever came up with the idea of "just slap it on the side/base" needs to be fired, it looks shotty, and often makes them worse (especially in missle cases) set a number of tubes for under the hood, then put excess on the outside

same with the hunchie, set max number of weapons in the hump, then put excess outside it, do not try and tag them on joining parts, and 3 weapons should fit on the hump in a unique way, you already have the tech to do this (UAC always snaps to position 2 with a heavier weapon placed in the hump, even if you put the heavier one in second)
you were all about changing geometry, well change it, make the hump LOOK different for 2 - 3 ballistics or other weapons

they even put the perfect base on, so only the face needs to change, it looks like a 'cap' needs to be placed on the end with 1, 2 or 3 holes in it, and you could change the position of the holes for each one

idk, but my first 2 mechs were Catapults and Hunchies, so im a little more invested in this than most, but still, they could have done so much better

I'm in the camp of not really liking what they did with the 4P. I think my main issue with the revision is that they updated the hunch to use the new look lasers, but left the arm and head lasers with the original versions. I think it's the inconsistency that bugs me more than anything. (ie. Why are the lenses of the mlasers in my hunch double the diameter of the mlasers on my arms?)

As for the 4G, I run mine pretty close to stock, so the changes don't really affect me, but I do feel for those multi-gun users. I agree that a triangular configuration with everything kept inside the hunch would have been a better way to go...

I think the new look of the hunchback might give me a reason to play mediums again.. atlhough, which one looks the best, aesthetically?

Since some of them are obviously bad, anyway.. the 3 PPCs in the hunch looks pretty badass.
