the hunch is a non-issue once you take out the gauss and xl engine. I use 200 standard, ac/20, 3 ml and get 2-3 kill at a time with it. I think the limited edition cheerleader is nice, and the gold color the other mechs don't have access too was a nice addition. of course im completely biased since I loved the 4g to begin with but everyone needs a favorite something to tinker around with.

It's sweet. The missiles help you stay in the fight if when you lose that hunch...

Go Bucks!

I likes my Hunches. Been tweaking with this one. Kinda happy, kinda meh on some of them (sticking out MG from the hunch's main slot...looks pretty dumb).

LOL, the 4J and the 4H have the energy slots down below the hunch even though they are in the torso slot as the missile and ballistics.

Met my first one in a match tonight. Fired an AC20 and PPC at his ballistic hardpoint.

It exploded into many iddy bits.

Gauss rifle detonated. XL engine went with it. Win.

This thing is easier to kill than a legged Locust.

Poor Grid Iron you got didn't follow the most basic Hunch rule: 48 right front armor, 2 rear armor.

Until you nerf the LRM's, only people with a deathwish are going to get into Hunchbacks.

I run my 4P in a configuration which is still very deadly with missing hunch or left torso. I'm having trouble understanding why people would want to purchase this hero 'Mech, other than for the obvious CBill bonus(that's simply not a motivator for me). Besides that though, the bright yellow paint job is going to make anyone running it into a target.

I got it for fun because the HBK is my favorite mech from back in Beta. Sure, it's maybe not the one I've done the best with, but it was the start of a glorious road to becoming a medium pilot worth more than 90% of the heavy and assault pilots out there.

Because I like Hunchies. Also, I changed the colors because you can. You know, making gripes for the sake of making gripes?

I love the hunchbacks. If only pgi would put as much effort into the game as they do into making videos for selling ****, I would gladly buy it

Oh well, just bought a premium plane in war thunder instead....it has a 50% earning boost....and only cost 5$

Aside from everything else... microtransactions are supposed to be MICRO

The bobblehead is a nice touch but I can't see myself choosing this mech over a yen lo wang. The reason being I can't find a build that would outperform AC20 equipped HBK-4G. I would not sacrifice tonnage that I use for engines just to equip the missile slot. I would not attempt to use a xl engine on a HBK ever because of their broad shoulders. You run that thing in its stock config, and your just asking for trouble. I can just imagine people staying out in the open because of their gauss delay and then getting cored by their xl. I knew this was going to be the hero hunchback weapon points. Here is a trolly build that I would try if I were to buy the mech.

And here we are thinking, could PGI go further down the toilet?

Why yes, yes they can and willfully do it with a smile.

That is straight lazy work there.

Keep up the great job PGI. :(

its a hit and miss mech. I did good in it not great. Still working builds. Did laugh a lot at guys running the xl's in them though. So far ac 5 three med lasrs and a lerm 10 is best fit.

I already bought one, because I really love the Huchback and play it very often, so it makes sence for me to get the 30% extra C-Bills per match. My favorite build is: standard Engine 250 (89kph), AC20 (28Ammo) and 3 med lasers. (Damn has the AC20 became slow... I really have to get used to this... hopefully I will faster than my opponents!) But I REALLY hoped, that the Hero Huchback would have jumpjets or ecm instead of an additionally rocket hard point, because I don't like rockets very much (really don't like LRM's... SRM's are ok but still a bit broken because of hit detection). But the paint job is nice.
What I was really wondering as I saw the video, why the video in combination with the music is so great for the Grid Iron... but the video of the Clan announcment was sooo poor compared to this. What went wrong there?? That was really a bit disappointing. Hopefully they will indemnify us with another awesome (not the mech ;-) ) Clan video later!
See you on the battlefield!

Thats...a pretty standard match actually. I've had twice that damage score in other good mechs so your match isn't saying much.

Well, there's some additional information I left out: That's my Founder 4G that I haven't played for six months, that only has the Basic Pilot Skills (I only have the one HBK), with a completely new loadout (I used to run AC/20+2xML) that I test for the first time, solo dropping in a PUG.

I'd say it's a pretty good game, all things considered.
