Wrong, each individual hit was modeled... you're thinking MW4. But thanks for playing.

You're thinking of MW3. UAC20s were the only big mega balls of pain.

MW2 ballistics actually leave a lot to be desired.

Actually this would make the UAC2 just a solid stream of bullets. Would be kinda neat. Like a true large scale machine gun.

Super heat intensive though... but id use it myself on some mechs.

But if the AC/2 needs ghost heat in the developer's opinion, wouldn't the UAC/2? And we know that Ghost Heat breaks any weapon with a recycle time of 0.5 second or less, because even just one weapon fired continously would trigger it.

Great complaining, but this thread is a waste. Go here to discuss weapons:

(Let's see how long I have to do this before getting banned or the thread merged...either of which would be better than arguing this discussion over again...)

Thanks for reminding me that opening a thread is not welcome.
You sure can apply for the moderator role at mwomercs.com.
as there is another thread that has exact the same discussion we should go over there.

Opening a dupe thread is not welcome, actually. L2forum :P
I would love to, but I don think you would like me in that role much, since I would have deleted this thread long ago.
Yes, so please do go there: http://mwomercs.com/...aw-with-weapons

Autocannons are supposed to put X amount of damage into one location. If they change that then they will need to un-nerf the Gauss. Otherwise, ballistics are gonna be abandoned again.

hmm well the sarna ac 20 weapon varaint link you gave just redirected me to the main AC 20 page
whats the difference between all the damage in a single blow over a single shot :) like the 203 MM AC 20

Think of a solid slug and a shotgun round.
So, the slug would be 1 projectile, or 1 shell doing 20 damage, thats the single shot.
A shotgun round, rather like the LBX round would be 20 projectiles, doing 1 damage each (or 10 projectiles, doing 2 damage each). Now the smaller projectiles are not neccessarily fired at the same time, because the "autocannon class" was worked on damage over time, these 20 projectiles might be rapid fired from a much smaller caliber, but the result is damage in 1 turn, or one trigger pull.
Its a bit like comparing a .50 cal rifle, to something automatic with .22 cal. Over "some given" time period, they will deilver the same amount of lead, but the .50 does it in one shot, the auto .22 does it in one magazine
