As someone who already bought a Gold Mech, I am happy to donate money to a good cause (might even pick up a second one if I can get a discount for already having the masakari collection).
At this point, the only thing that would disappoint me would be poor quality of the gold exterior. I am hopping that it is the shiniest glimmering thing on the battlefield.
Here is what I think it should be like - if you've bought a gold mech and have something to add, please do!
-You know that effect when you see a shiny object at range (like a sniper scope or when your watch is at that perfect angle and blasts you in the eye with all the might of the sun); yea the gold Mechs should do that.
-At close range it might even be nice to have multiple edges of the mech produce this effect like it would in the real world. You guys are using such a powerful engine to design this game and this could really push the limits on making something look super realistic and cool. Remember the saying, "everything that glitters is gold"; well it may not always be true but gold -does- glitter and this is all I want.
I think a lot of people will try to kill the gold Mechs on sight, and I'm perfectly OK with this. Please let me go out in a hail of gunfire with style by being the gaudiest thing they've ever seen.
Basically I just want it to look like pure polished gold.. if it just has a gold coloring without any reflective properties I'll be pretty disappointed.
I can't speak for everyone who is planning on buying or already bought one of these Mechs but as strong contributors to the cause, I think they will join me in asking for something really special.
