If this is a legitimate ad from IGP, I'm going to be upset. Even if it's outsourced, they should take responsibility and make it right.

If it's someone abusing google adsense to make PGI look bad... yeah. That will make me even more pissed.

Again with the tinfoil hat heffay? Considering Shimmering Sword captured screengrabs himself I doubt some angry fan hacked google to make Jarhead PGI look bad. It's not even going to affect PGI at all because IGP is the publisher, and the publisher is in charge of marketing. But no, go ahead and keep on blaming 4chan hackers on sterioids as I'm sure that helps reinforce your internal narrative about how the toxic community is hell-bent on destroying such a wonderful dev for no good reason.

If you've seen an ad in the past five years, you're doing the Internet wrong.

So, even white Knights can suffer from the tinfoil hat syndrome. How interesting.

Has anyone else seen these ads that aren't Goon, Kong, and SS? I used to see Mwo ads all the time. I've yet to see these.

You can literally click the link in the OP and see the ad hosted on google's servers.

There's no way I know of to guarantee which ads google will show you.

It's like you completely ignored the first part of my comment. It could be an IGP action, and if so my state of mind if that is true.

It's adorable that people think it takes an outside party to make PGI look bad :allears:

Wow that is sad. Someone should be getting fired for this. PGI can't handle too many more stupid public relations snafu's.

I think this is fake. Looks too crappy to be a MWO add. The MWO art is better looking in the world of Battletech. SS is a good artist, but I like Alex's designs more.

So sad people have to resort to petty things like this because they are mad PGI isn't giving them their way.

Hate to break it to you Imperius, but I've seen their MW:O ads and MW:Tactics ads. They blow.

I started getting them when I googled MW:O at work.

These look very similar.

I like how some people are literally wearing goggles when comparing the ad to the originating artwork.

It's kinda like the graphics quality in MWO over time... notice the difference? You shouldn't need 20/20 hindsight vision to notice the difference...

These look nothing like those ads. The real ones were animated and actually look real. These look like some one just learned how to use photoshop. All you guys are just so eager to hate/blame PGI/IGP

I disagree, they were crude and ugly. I showed one to someone at work and he laughed asking if it was a browser game.

They looked like most google ads. Did he laugh asking if others were browser games, like the WoW ones?

Given who posted this and who are responding to the thread with the same hate I've seen the past few months, not really in denial.

Just smh at you
