Do not worry - my Locust are not forgotten - just on hold.

Ran into you a couple times last night, I was in my new LRM troll Atlas-S! It's pretty good as an LRM mech honestly. You can get 25 tubes without stagger fire.. add a gauss rifle for some direct fire capability and a couple MLs for some defense and it's decent. At closer ranges, chain-firing the LRMs to shake their cockpit while whacking them with the Gauss is pretty fun.

Still, they are still Locust food.

I'm absolute garbage at playing the Cent-AH lol. I'll take the Locust over that thing any day

Still feels like the game had a weird difficulty spike though.

Mane, you don't know pain unless you're grouped with three un-elited AS7-S, against a team with three DWF-Prime(I) lol

So, I was watching an anime called Arpeggio of Blue Steel on the Netflix today and I saw something that made me immediately think of my Locust. And laugh. A lot.

Forgive the lack of sound; apparently the video had music copyright something something Youtube does stuff like that issues.

Four machine guns and a TAG.

Check that damage score.

Finally got my K/D for the for my 3M in the green! Well just barely (52/51) but it still counts! From humble beginnings...

I'm also surprised at how much damage I average in this mech. After 66 games, it comes down to 324 per match. To be honest, I don't get that in the Raven (maybe I'm just a sh** Raven pilot)! Still has a while to go before catching my Firestarter numbers, and I doubt that will ever happen.

But still. The Locust.

Hello locust fans!

After mastering my 1V(P), 3M and my 3S locust, i would like to try something different. Does anyone has test a loadout like this on the LCT-1M :

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7ce3805170673d1
LCT-1M - STD180 + 2xMPL + DHS/FF/ES

I need advices, is this a viable build, or the 3M is better for standard engine? (see build below)

I want to try a sort of Zombie locust (the sale inspire me!!!), for the moment i have try this locust with a STD engine :
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...2b50927d7e0d249
LCT-3M - STD180 + 4xSL + 1xML + DHS/FF/ES

Thanks and see you on battlefied, kamikaze-mechwarriors!

I might as well get a 170-80 XL so I can play with PPCs on the Locusts. But I have the itch to play Awesomes, Summoners, and moar mechs now. I have 4 mill in the bank now. sigh.

You know you can still do it with a 190 right?

Yip but the difference in speed is negligable and with the new rewards system all lights should carry tag. As 10 points of hit or miss damage won't earn much.

I think for me, the problem with TAG on a locust, is you need to slow down or stop to use it effectively, and now to hold it for the timescales required to get the rewards.

It's 'slow down or stop' part I have a problem with.

I took a tally of the number of participants for each chassis over time in the first 3 hours of the tournament, and the Locust ranks 9th most popular! Weird. I guess Everybody expected it to be the least competitive, so they all bandwagon'd. Most popular light is the Jenner, followed by the Adder, then our beloved Locust.

I just obtained a 1E, really wanted to try out 6 pewpews. Blew the money on endo/derro/dhs, put my 190 XL in it not expecting anything.

First game, CAUSTIC, damn. But we somehow won and I lived (alpha strike put me up to 60% :o

Second game (two efficiencies unlocked): 600+ damage, 10 assists. Alright then, I think this will be alright.

I envy those of you who can produce such consistent results. I'm sitting here at rank 20 and swearing that I'll make the leaderboard at least once this weekend.

You could swap it for medium laser if you want. With the tag and erppc the idea is to stay just within 800m or the range of the tag. Survivability increases drastically the further away you are lol.

I only just logged on for the night but is seems to me from the last three games that all the tryhards have bought lolcusts for the comp because they figured it would be an easy chassis to win.

Lets show these bandwagon-jumpers how a proper bug-fan plays. ;)

So, I tried running Med Las on the 1-E

That was the worst.

Slow, hot, cumbersome...

It was painful.

Not a fan.

SPLs are my bread and butter, though you have to be good at moving or die. Sometimes die anyway.
