I think LCT is OP.
A couple of kills were stolen... it would be 5 k....

With the right attitude they can be. I love those little monstrosities, and quirks or not, they are always fun mechs to pilot.

4 MG's = higher DPS then any other weapon for 2 tons... also does more DPS then a large pulse laser.
I do not mind. I used my 1V earlier and snagged 5 kills and 550 damage. (we lost. I was the last emch alive and I was red cored both legs, ct, left arm and torso.... i have no idea how I survived.
ALSO I noticed something, the arms on the pirate bane are awesome for shields. I just shielded a direct AC 20 shot and I took no side torso damage at all, the arm fell off but it worked and no weapons lost!
Edit: oh, and lets not forget that it does have a crit chance to cored areas...

Okay. It is going to be incredibly difficult to not have that song run through my head every time I take to the field in a Locust or Spider from here on out.
Not sure whether to laugh about it or cry.

So, I found that I had the following Locusts in my mechbays. LCT-1V(P), LCT-1E, LCT-1M, LCT-3S, LCT-3M, and LCT-PB.
I'd tricked out and unlocked all the basics plus speed tweak on 4/6 (haven't done the 3S or 3M yet), and had personalized the camo on them, and found myself realizing it was time to name them all.
So, it started with my PB. See, I wanted something that paid tribute to Lori Kalmar-Carlyle, so I first named it "Sigurd" in honor of her home planet. Then, that wasn't quite sitting right, so I named it "Mongoose", since it's tiny, sneaky, and loves to fight "Snakes" (DAMN those Dracs!), but that wasn't quite right either, and, like I say, I still wanted some sort of homage to the origin. So, reading up on the Norse folklore about Sigurd, I read that he had possessed a sword named "Gram", that he used to kill the dragon Fafnir. I liked the imagery (again with the "damning" of said Dracs!), but wasn't too keen on "Gram" as a name, until I saw that it translated roughly as "Wrath".
"Hmmm", I thought to myself..."PERFECT"! For those of you familiar with the origin of the GDL, "Wrath" is pretty fitting, and with the sneaky little double meaning of being a sword used to kill Dragons, it just seemed, as I said before...perfect.
So, "Wrath" it was.
And then...it hit me like an allied Daishi alpha to my rear armor. I had 5 more Locusts to name...
And thusly so, did a theme start to set in. Something dredged up from long ago. Either a long forgotten sermon I heard in my youth, or maybe a Brad Pitt movie, either way, it just seemed even more, well..."perfectier"?
So, with no further ado, introducing...
LCT-1V(P) Locust: "Pride" - Because it's difficult NOT to feel guilty of that one when you drive this thing, what with the Forum Badge, Cockpit Items, Phoenix geometry, and that paint job, not to mention the "P" right there in the name. Like a great big flag saying "Oooh, oooh, look at me, I had some money once, and I spent it on a video game that I like alot!".

LCT-1E Locust: "Envy" - Because ,yep, that's "EXACTLY" what that "E" is for, and maybe, just maybe, this little guy is perhaps a little bit jealous of all those, torso mounted hardpoints, and, non-"small laser" based quirks, that the other Locusts have.

LCT-1M Locust: "Lust" - Because so far, all of my best Locust games have been in this one, and (I'll try to make this sound as "un-sexy" as I can, but...), it's to the point that sometimes, even when I'm in another Locust, I find my mind wandering to this one, wondering what it's doing, and if it misses me. Plus if any of my Locusts possess any sort of lust themselves, this one does, oh does it ever. It DEEPLY lusts...for killing mechs!

LCT-3M Locust: "Greed" - Because not ONLY is it a glorious little jab at House Marik for all the lore-hounds out there, but everything I read about this sucker indicates that once I set it up with that XL190 and the 5 x SPLs, that, only THEN, will it really reveal the TRUE depths of it's OWN greed...for killing mechs!

LCT-3S Locust: "Sloth" - Because "S". And because, well, it's a Steiner design, and there are so many "Goonies" jokes to make in there, about how Steiner scout lances, while probably big and strong, are mostly slow, and honestly a little bit stupid, and definitely prone to forgetting tactics and just stomping across the battlefield yelling "Hey you guys!!!". Also, no matter how much I mess around with this thing on Smurfy, I just can't seem to get it to..."work"? HAR-HAR-HAR! "Sloth"?!! Can't get it to "WORK"?!! I totally slay me!!!

LCT-PB Locust: "Wrath" - Well, I guess I already introduced you to "Wrath", so I suppose that brings us to...wait, what's that? You mean, I only had 6 Locusts? Oh. Well. I guess that wraps up this whole...WAIT, this just in, we're getting some new information, I believe, yes, it looks like possibly...

......
LCT-1V Locust: "Gluttony" - Because you can NEVER have too much Locust, right? And, I mean, I HAD to have an LCT-1V that I could customize the camo on, right? And, I mean, I just COULDN'T let a naming idea this much fun go without adding yet another Locust, right? And, I mean, to even WANT to have that many Locusts, you'd HAVE to be some sort of a "Glutton"...for

Locust pilots. We should probably all be declared clinically insane.
Hehe..."pun"ishment?
P.S. It's now up to someone else, to take on the venerable "Seven Dwarves" theme.
God speed!

But now my original lasery Locust which hasn't received a new engine yet feels painfully slow... I don't even know how I'm going to ever be able to play any other mech.

Someone else is going to have to tell you if you ever go back to other mechs or if you just remain a locust pilot who might drive another mech here and there for lols

I honestly save my doubles in the Locust for last, because ANYTHING else just feels too slow and cumbersome.
Though that was my downfall once, I ran right out of bounds in a High speed Loci on Loci Fight.
Was pretty damn epic.
Also...
Please Quirk the Locust More PGI, I want to break 1200 Damage in my 3M.
