Seems good, however, you're missing 3 heatsinks (can't launch without 10), and I'd say that running it with 2 tons AMS ammo is too much. 1 Ton and slap an ML in the CT. That should be better. Or if you really want that AMS ammo. One and a Half tons AMS ammo, and SL in the CT.

BAP sadly would have to go, unless you want to shave armor.

I just put 2 in because one ton gets emptied up too soon if there are alot of LRMs in game (like yesterday with 4 pure LRM boats on the enemyteam :D was raining from all sides) and I didnt think that a CT MedLas does not so much change. LCT is seldom zombie, it rather dies before it loses arms.

The CT Mlas isn't there for the zombie. It's there to help you strip armor, because you can spend all of your MG ammo and not even break through some medium mech's armor. Also, in case you last long enough to run out of MG ammo, your mech will still have an MLas (5 damage) to use, instead of being a 20 ton paperweight.

Well I build it with the 4MG 5K in mind, which is a good armor peeler and frequently puzzles me with kills by MG only (sure, they are not *all* fresh and full health armor), especially against light's legs. The other day I killed a medium with full armor legs using a Spider 5K in the lava pit of Terra by shoting his legs off with MG only, he couldnt even fire because his lasers overheated him instantly down there... The MedPulse on the 5K I only use occassionaly and since the LCT is only 20 tons I though I save the ton for more ammo.

5K usually has a ERLL in it's torso to peel the armor. Then use the MGs to pop everything inside. Mechs in lava will start receiving damage to their legs btw.

Trust me, as someone who has played the 1V a lot, you'll want to keep that ML in the CT. I would also encourage you to try your design, and see how it works for you. People should always experiment and go crazy with their builds (I know for a fact, that there's a flamer locust build somewhere in this thread).

But without streaks it will mostly be a pointless waste of tons and crits for your little 20ton mech, unless you run into a lone ecm light.

My personal Phoenix 1V Locust, Endo and DHS, less mg and only goes 150ish kph but more PEWPEW and the Large Laser is 100% heat stable so no overheating problems 2/2 on the heat scale

Yeah, I will try it out, just because I feel as a light pilot I should know the LCT too (and own at least 1 variant).
Btw, I never ran the 5K with LL, it needs much more HS and then I can not go 170 with that thing, and I like the 5K for some speedrun fun and MG annoyance and I am satisfied with 1.05 KDR on it.

You're mixing the 5V with the 5K. 5V doesn't have MGs (unless I missed something).

I personally like max engine on the 5V +ERLL+8JJs. You will FLY!

EDIT: Also, tell me how the build works out for you. You should also be prepared for a lot of quick deaths, and little damage games, until you get comfortable with the Locust.

EDIT: SDR-5V This build is hilarious.

I loath the 1V.....close to mastering it and then it is done... stripped down and forever unused. the best you can do with it is 4MG+MPL/ML or 2MG + ERLL/LL.....and it still blows.

I prefer the ERLL because at least you can sort of snipe with it. have like 3 or 4k XP to go on it and I can't wait....

You can do the ERLL no problem with 10 DHS

then I can finish the 3S & 3M which are pretty close as well.

I think after all this for people wanting to master or play the locust I would recommend the 1E, 1M, and 3M

the extra energy slot on the 1M is a huge plus and you can't really get a good set up with 4 missiles on the 3S
1E and 3M are fairly similar but can get some different loadouts between the two to mix up the energy weapons a bit.

and I'm finding seismic sensor is great module to toss on there

you'd die at the beginning of the round because your own teammates will run into you and you'll lose both legs.

Yeah, my 1V serves me really well, and is possibly my favourite Locust.
Not sure what you're problem is?
I've been running LCT-1V so far effectively, and I've recently upgraded to: LCT-1V which I'm assuming can only be better.

it is because I CAN NOT stand MGs.....I hate idling around hoping for criticals.

if the 1V had a second energy in the CT...then i'd totally consider it more.

Psst - I would put all 4 HS into the legs - so that you get the bonus heat when in shallow water as well as the deep!

That I can understand.

I don't really agree with it (as in it doesn't bother me, rather than I don't think it should bother you) but I can understand it.

I usually don't sit around waiting for crits though - I usually make enough of an annoyance of myself that I rarely run out of ammo, so I do not wait to use the MG on that mech (my other MG mechs yes, that one, no)

...somehow the sight of me in a Locust makes me a THE priority target though, so YMMV with that :(
