How Does Mm Work If You Leave A Game Early?

Does anyone know how the MM handles your ELO score if you quit a match early? Obviously it can't adjust your score since the outcome of that match hasn't been decided, but then while you are in another match, does it update your ELO while you are playing? If so then, isn't there the potential for the score to be all out of wack after short-circuiting matches early? What if you gain a massive increase in the first match, and again in the second match, but the two exceed the maximum that you can change in one match? Could this be leading to some of the problems that some users experience?

Usually after a Huge win (like a 12-0 or similiar) I get put into a 3 4man group with brand new people (Trial mechs Galore... people asking how the game works, ect) and get Decimated.... and it happens almost immediately after the huge Win...
So now what do I do? IF our team is winning... just quit out early? Perhaps overheat and die? aim crappier?

From the description Elo scores don't move massively on any one match.
I'd assume, much like XP and C-Bills, that Elo changes are made at the end of the match. So yes, you could end up with a slightly different score but I very much doubt it'll be making any difference.
Wrap your mouse and keyboard in tinfoil. That way theboogeyman matchmaker won't get you. : )

FTR, just because you win a match, it doesn't mean your ELO goes up. The system predicts a winner, and your Elo only changes if it's prediction is wrong, ie you win a match it thought you would lose or vice versa.
Also, there's really no reason your score would get out of whack. Your first match ends and your score is adjusted if needs be while you are playing in the second match. Then your second match ends, and your score is adjusted if needs be.
I suspect this is memory at work. IE you remember this because it was unusual, ie a big win followed by a massive loss. Then you had some normal drops which didn't stick in your mind until you had a massive loss, then got a great win (two drops later, but hey gotta love our brains!!)

I invite Ramsey over to watch my game. But I hate it when he's watching, all he does is yell. They can't hear you Ramsey! MWO has no voice comm. But every time he comes over - we win. And he always brings Bud Light. I love you Ramsey.
