I have 16000 GXP(+/-), should I get Hill Climb? Or one of the consumables like Artillery or Air strike (never used them, not sure if it is worth the 40,000 C-bills) ?
I have all the good ones Adv Zoom, Adv Target decay, cap accel, Adv Sensor range, target info gather, Adv Seismic and even Improved Gyros (not so good)
Any suggestions?

Hmm yes you got all the good stuff. Maybe save that GXP? You might get a mech that you want to level fast.
But Artillery or Air strike are popular, i see them allot in games. oh and cool shots.

If you run streaks, 360 targeting is useful

Do you have the 360 degree target retention?
I'm not a fan of consumables - from what I understand they can be extremely effective, but it's just not my style, but the Hill Climb module just always seemed like a waste.

Hill Climb module is useless.
Arty, Airstrike, and modules that improve them are worth it. They are quite effective, both in pugs and 12-mans. The damage, component destructions and kills dealt by arty/airstrike that you call, all count toward your score.

The Improved Arty and Air Strike modules (the ones that upgrade the c-bill versions to be on par with the MC versions) are worth getting, but the modules that enhance arty/air accuracy are not.
40K c-bills isn't really that much in the long run. Once you've been playing a while you'll gather a huge bank of c-bills. If you're not going to get those though, I'd just save the GXP for future modules or getting the basic skills for 'Mechs that suck.

I wouldn't buy any of the consumable upgrades until after you've bought, tried, and enjoyed using a consumable. 40k c-bills is easy to replace if you buy an artillery and decide you don't like it, but the gxp for the upgrade is much harder to earn again. Tread carefully!
Do you have mechs with empty module slots? which mechs, and what role so they play?
