Anti-Light Builds

A couple light mechs running in and shootling... the larger mechs in my team trying to kill them and gets flank by other enemy mechs.
I would like to build a counter to this tactic.
I tried to use the Catapult C4 and A1 with SSRMs but it just doen't work( the catapult is to large and slow to be a anti-light)
Who's got the Ultimate Light killer?

Also a laser boat helps (like a Hunch 4P with 9MLasers). Runs hot though, so it may require some heat management when it comes to firing.
Either way, Lasers boats and Streak boats seem to do the best (for me anyway).

Also, I've found the common Raven 3L build (2 SSRM, 3 meds) to be quite effective at light-killing.

Bah. Swaybacks like heat. It fuels the cockpit-mounted spa and hottub and brews the beer.

Light hunting in heavies is an epic fail.

Another strategy is to melt off the legs with lasers, pulses are very nice for this because of the shorter beam duration.
If you really wanna go streaks, you gotta go fast because it'll take a while to get the kill and you gotta keep up to keep streaking. Kintaro loaded with streaks going 100+ is very scary to lights.
TL;DR agile ac20 arm, leg loosening lasers, or speedy streaktaro
edit: also what gyrok said above, light or medium (maaaaybe dragon) to get the job done

The Dragon N1 with 2 SSRM, 2LLAS and 1 UAC5 with XL320
Did any one try and use this on a light?

And pick up the Artemis upgrade if you have Streaks. LRMs and Streaks use the same lock on mechanics, so an unintended quirk of the Artemis upgrade is that it shortens the lock-on time for Streaks the same as for LRMs. It will add 1ton and 1 crit to all of your non-Streak missile racks, but if all you have are Streaks it s 0-ton, 0-crit improvement for a modest c-bill investment.

HBK-H with AC20 and arm laser(s).
KTO-18 with 5xSSRM and arm laser. Or with 5xLRM5s with Artemis.
HBK-SP with srm6 with Artemis and arm lasers.

Your describing a very effective team strategy and want a build to counter it.
There is no build to counter swarming lights, supported by an aware and informed number of heavier mechs.
The only counter is an equally prepared team.
Single lights have no chance against a number of builds including eg. shadowhawk with 3 ssrms, 2 medl, and an ac10. Melts lights away. 1 or 2 hits from the ac 10 and a few volley of ssrms will have already crippled or outright killed them.
