Glass that is going to obstruct your view, obscuring potential threats and affecting aim which the effects will be compiled with those of blinding smoke and cockpit shake... And generally seen as annoying. Good pilots will ignore or not care about it, newbies will once again get the shaft...

If it's just "Glass". Then can we PLEASE remove the 'film grain' overlaying the "glass"

It's really annoying and causes eye strain.

So, if it's "just glass" then it's literally nothing then? I mean the cockpits ALREADY HAVE GLASS! And we already look through it! Why even announce that this is going to be a thing then?

Meh. I would hope that it would crack and stuff as damage is taken but I guess I had either 1) taken it out of context or 2) drank too much of the kool-aid again.

Then why do I constantly drown my cockpits in water and why do those damn tree branches cover my instruments?

Maybe with the patch, we'll get a new "Clean Shot" consumable to make our cockpits as clear as they used to be prior to having the glass feature?

New cockpit item!



Jokes aside, I for one am looking forward to this. Anything that gets me (even) more immersed in the game and adds to the sim factor. Certainly, this is more exciting than the umpteenth Hero 'Mech. Possibly even more exciting than a new map, given that this has the potential to increase my fun level in every match.

I'm hoping that with this glass that they're able to implement a projected HUD onto the glass.
