Your bacon is so much smaller that you can eat it in a trivial amount of time as opposed to realspace bacon?

Parsecs are a number used to represent length. "30 parsecs later" has no bearing without knowing the speed of the object. 30 parsecs later could be 20 years or 20 seconds depending on the speed traveled. As such, I stand by my earlier statements.

No, you're assuming travel in hyperspace. Again, the measure of length gives no reference to time. There's also no such thing as instantaneous, you still have delays between hittin ga button and arriving.
There you go folks, scientific fact, Marik brand space bacon best

Hitting the button isn't part of the actual jump event - and MarineMechs brought up hyperspace. That was why I went with parsecs in the FIRST place!

without being able to travel in time though there's no way for it to be instantaneous. There is still a fraction of a second between the start of forward propulsion and arrival and accelerating down into a safe speed.

Even if you argue event horizon, wormholes, blackholes, etc. that would involve creating a hole in space and/or folding distances in and on itself in order to achieve NEAR-instantaneous travel, that still is instantaneous. Instantaneous is impossible. Physics dude.
