ac/10, lrm, 2med lasers, and just doubled the heat sinks. its a good mech just hovering out at 400m from targets raining lrms and ac10 shells. too many players got comfortable facehugging those srms and forgot what the mech was originally designed to do.

Well to be fair the Cent-gun arm is hung really low and large but you can charge towards something facing sideways and tilting your gun cus of the very liberal arm twist. I just have weight issues when making the mech fast enough to survive AND using the gun arm I can't justify being the same speed as a 75 ton orion or an 80 ton Victor, nearly the same size, and no jumpjets. If you can't use the mediums mobility to not die that left arm is only gonna last a few shots. That said. maybe the stock-ish Centurion would be more successful with weight limits.

Throw in all the upgrades (endo+ferro), a 250std engine, and you can fit 1 lrm5 or srm4 or a pair of srm2 with that as well (with 1 ton ammo)
Drop the AC to a 5 or UAC and you can fit more missiles.

Either way gives you a bit more flexibility (Jack of all trades Master of none ;))

Of course I am somewhat un-fond of just the AC/10 and ML as Yenlo really does that better with it's AC/20 IMO. :P

Baby brawler. I ran it in early beta before i swapped to the cn9-al. On my cn9-al i run this which is still effective - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...42d3002a55f58ee

2ML in the arm, 1 in the CT?

Interesting, gives you more flexibility with your aiming, but opens you up for mockery from those who consider the CT to be the Centurion's only valuable asset.

Lol!

You will rarely see me link to smurfy for two reasons:
1) Meta-humpers love to mock my builds (and carefully ignore that I can counter most meta...) making it not worth the trollish feedback

2) (the big one) when I am playing it doesn't occur to me to open up smurphy to copy my builds, and when I am not, I can never remember quite how I built them.

My Centurion laughs at your so called nerf!

Posted Image

The truth here is that the Cent is as good as ever and if you can't manage to mitigate damage by twisting then no brawler build will work for you.
My CN9-A and CN9-D both wreck people just as well now as before. (ok they aren't as good as they were with 2.5 srm damage and splash)

some completely unnecessary elements there, this is how I'd run that setup:

CN9-A

ammo from the legs might be moved to the side torsi, depending on preference and how often you feel your legs are being targeted.

I used to run a CN9-A like this, but I just upgraded that build to the CN9-D which does it a lot better. Now I'm just running what has already been suggested (AC5, 2 meds, and LRM 10 on the STD 250) I could never get the srm build to work, even before they were nerfed.

I feel you on the SRM (I couldn't make them work either)
But if you decide to go back to the LRM10 - try 2 LRM5 instead, they weigh less, reload faster, give the same alpha, and have the option of chain firing on top of that.

Might as well bring this thread back up since there's could be a lot of free CN9-A's out there.

Here's a take on a STD engine brawler for it, would be nice if SRMs were good, but have to make do until then with other options

AC5, 2 ML, 3 SSRM2, BAP, STD240
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...dfe73b7eb29f6d3

Here's a possible LRM skirmisher:

3 ALRM10, TAG, BAP, XL245
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...d82bfdc36433cdf

If you don't like the sacrifices in some limb armor, here's with dropping one ALRM10 down to ALRM5, with engine bumped to XL255:

Here's the current build:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...b2717184418a3be

xl275, 3 streaks, 2ML, AC10, ENDO, DHS.

Goes 98 kph after speed tweak. A nasty brawler with a decent long range punch. BAP was removed to get 2 tons more of ammo. Pushes pretty good damage nums as long as you're mindful of the XL (which since the hitbox changes isn't as bad as it used to be).

What good is ammo if you can't use it? Streaks need BAP otherwise just drop the streaks and use something else.

Also I would highly recommend getting ammo out of your legs, people pretty much always go for the legs on centurions, especially fast ones.

I should mention, I run with a UAV virtually every game because they're just that good. But the rest of the time, it's occasionally an impediment but 20 dmg pinpoint is nothing to sneeze at. I took the ammo over BAP out of preference. Nothing to say you have to do the same.

This is what I run. A single AC2 is a nice tool to keep heads down. Once SRMS work better it's back to the classic zombie brawler.
