The UI doesn't just open up new features, it relieves the devs from having to patch the game itself every time they want a sale. A lot of dev work was going into stupid small patches.

I already explained why its confusing, and gave an example of how MW3 had a much simpler and superior mechlab. It not only has the same functionality as mwo's, but also allows you to load/save configs.

I don't see why we need extra effort spent on making sales easier.

So you think the guys doing that work shouldn't be doing something the majority of the players actually care about? Odd. They need sales either way as a F2P title but I'd rather they use their time a bit better when they can. Ultimately though the update isn't just about the sales anyway since everything else will rely on the underlying bits and pieces.
Which is why I would expect them to throw out usability in favor of a deadline, so the other stuff can get moving. Even though I'm not sure how they managed to make a GUI that was less usable than the one we have now. Not by much, but just odd choices all over.
