I have been tooling around with the Catapult K2 lately, and wanted to try something different than the dual A/C10, 4 MLaser combo. I think I found something so weird and rediculous, I just wanted to share it.

Behold, the Snaggle Tooth.
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...1b8dc5f7381df91

One of the Uggliest mechs I have ever made. Symetry...out the window. With barrels sticking out at un-even places and the Buckaneer paint scheme, it looks like a Junkyard Fred Sanford special pieced together with the finest junk you could find strewn on the battlefield. I love this thing so far.

Here is the breakdown...
It is the only mech I have made with both Endo and Ferro upgrades together. It also has DHS.

1 PPC in the LH Arm for sniping (with the zoom module)
3 MLasers for medium to short range
1 A/C 20 in the RH Torso (w/ 3 tons ammo) for a vicious short range punch
STD 290 Engine good for almost 80kph with speed tweak.

It has descent speed plus the weapon options are nice. Snipe with the PPC, and if the enemy closes, use the 3MLasers with the A/C20. You can even group fire the PPC w/ A/C20 for that high alpha punch (as long as the enemy stays farther out than 90m).

I have had some nice luck with this mech. Plus it is a bit fun to play with multiple weapon types on one platform.

Just figured I would share this abomination :P .

Looks fun. Loadout seems similar to a Thunderbucket 5S except the AC20. But I like it. Post some stats when you can.

looks just oddball enough to work, actually.

I might go a little more symmetrical and run this though

Both builds in this thread look like total beasts. I think I may have to buy a K2...

Interesting, but is the heat manageable? Even mine listed as around 1.12 or 1.14. It isn't that bad though because the cycle times and fire patterns of the weapons keep it relatively cool.

I had the mech initially built with the PPC in the torso vs the arm (called it the "Wonk Eye" due to the uneven barrels making it look a bit "derp"). It has it's benefits of having the PPC and A/C20 both in the torso. Better alpha striking pinpoint accuracy, however the arms are there to use, so might as well give some extra mobility to the PPC for aiming.

When I get tired of this, I might try Bishop's 2 ERLLasers instead and see how it works.

Yea, the Catapult doesn't do that loadout the best (too many sacirfices, especially to speed and manuverability). That's a Jager loadout. I know what your getting at though, too many A/C40s floating around, so it is nice to try and think outside that box...so to speak.

Oh, she's hot.

When I behaved, it was doable, as the ERs were used exclusively at range. Problem is, I can be a very naughty boy and so I did downgrade to twin standard larges. Still hot, but manageable. And has been quite beastly for me. More of a midrange scrapper version of my old 2x ER PPC and Gauss build.

That's why I liked the PPC  I think the cycle time of the PPC helps contribute to cool down. I was affraid that if I ran the LLasers (especially 2 and especially ER), the mech would be a bit too hot. I can use a hot mech when it comes to something fast and manuverable like the Hunch 4P (so I can get away and buy some cool down time), but a mech as big as the Cat, it's like getting caught with your pants down.

I still saved the loadout though, I want to eventually try it.

yeah, I considered the PPC, but have never been happy using a single one, unless it was paired with another gun like a gauss.

we have a pilot in Ghost Bear that managed to fit 2 ppcs' and 2 ac20's, it was quite funny to watch.
it had one ton of ammo and couldnt even get past 40 kph
