Sometimes, when i get hit by some weapons of some Players, i lag out and can do nothing to defend myself.
Its crazy when you move full Speed and bam, you freeze, bam, bam, bam, you are dead.
After that the game runs smooth again in spectator mode.

Maybe i stumble into fieldtests of a prototype "Mechgrabber". ;)

Best advice I've gotten was the best defense is a good offense. Specially true in martial arts, if someone has you on your heels the best way to stop them from aggressing you is to hit back. It applies to everything, including video games. for me anyway.

Glad to see not everyone prescribes to the same nerf cool aid! ;)

I guess YMMV!

My most accurate weapons are my Small(84%) then Medium lasers(80%)
Ballistics are accurate between 40-57 percent with Ultra at a lousy 30% an AC10 the king at 57%!

So what was it you were trying to say again? That you have pretty good results with BFGs?

Hey Joe, we've had this discussion before; I'm sure you haven't forgotten.

Any tick of a laser beam that registers count as a "hit" for statistical purposes, so that high (80-84%) accuracy you see on your stat page is really, well not a lie, but statistical nonsense ;)

If you want to know your true effectiveness with beam duration weapons you need to look at the average damage per hit with those weapons; I think you'll find that you deal about half the listed damage per hit.

Here's an example from my own stats:
AC/20
Accuracy: 61.33%, damage per hit: 20.25

ML
Accuracy: 87.89, damage per hit: 2.59

Now 2.59 is 51.8% of the weapon's listed damage, so if I multiply my accuracy by 0.518 I get an "effectiveness rating" of 0.456, or 45.6%.

So you see, the AC/20 is for me 61.33% effective, and the ML is only 45.6% effective.

And that's solely because the AC/20 deals all its damage in one hit, not because I aim better with it.

Once again that means lasers need fixing then St, not break ACs. Shorten the beam duration to increase damage on target. I like my enemy dying faster not slower.

And that's where we differ. I like my 'mech battles to be long, drawn-out affairs, where 'mechs fall to pieces over minutes before they finally succumb and die. Get some proper epic-ness in there.

I do NOT want one-shot kills. At all. Ever.

Then you and I will rarely disagree. Cause killing you and everyone else in one shot is a staple of my designing principle!

Except for missiles all the weapons are at around 50% for me. The new gauss is terrible though.
