I have always wondered this, but now after 5 matches in a row, when my CT gets so blown up easily. I had my battlemasters since phoenix, and they are my most played mechs, but yeah, my CT gets cored so massivly alot..

jesus why are the BLR's boobs CT? Shouldnt these area's be Side torso??

The glowy bits in the mechlab do not indicate where component hitboxes are. Still, the BLR boobs look rather funny like that.

Perhaps you should run an XL. I bought an XL 400 for my Battlemasters.

Yep, and in some cases the glowy bits can be blatantly misleading. I suspect that's the case here, since the "BLR boobs" are approximately where I'm aiming when I'm trying to take out a BLR side torso.

And yes, I fully endorse XL engines in the Battlemasters. Their wide bodies make them big targets, but with an XL they can up their agility and speed such that they torso twist to spread the damage around (due to limited twist range, I wouldn't recommend that for brawling, but it works fine for medium to long range protection). My BLR-1G runs an XL400 and is my best mech currently.

Yeah i already recieved a design proposal by somebody but it means saving alot of cbills wich i am currently using for the atlases

oh well, needs more grinding then
