Why Repair And Rearm Is Good For The Factions

Being Part of a faction should come with benefits. These benefits will only make sense if repair and rearm were reintroduced into the game. If lets say you decided to join House Kurita you should be able to purchase Draconis Combine mechs at a massive discount than other players aligned with other houses. This should also apply for rearm and repair.If you are house Davion aligned then repairing a Victor should be way cheaper for you than players aligned with other factions. Each faction should also have a specific set or sets of weapons and or tech that they manufacture that their armies can access at a much cheaper cost than others.This can come into play later in Planetary conquest where control of certain planets will allow faction players to buy and repair said tech at much cheaper rates than other players.

If you are a Merc this bonus should only be applied during the duration of a House contract.

I would suggest R&R should five incentives for faction players fielding faction mechs. Ex If you are playing Kurita faction or have a contract with Kurita if you are a merc. Mechs like the Dragon and Jenner should be 75% cheaper to R&R than non Kurita mechs. In fact this could be used in CW. In addition to mechs each faction should have specific tech that their players get bonuses for. For example Marik could have worlds that produce Ballistic weapons. Any faction that controls one of those worlds will be able to R&R ballistics cheaper than factions that do not. Control of certain worlds should also give a performance buff to that particular tech. Lets make so that control of a world will actually effect game play.

By the time CW is out, everyone will already own all the mech and all the gear they need so it's already way too late for the cheaper mech. As for the cheaper rearm then those who made different account for each faction will have a pretty good advantage because they expected this to happen while the rest of us either have to start anew for our favorite mech or either stop playing them.

But mostly, people are such cowards timids already that if it cost more to play then you risk running the timer out without a single death on each sides.

One assumes that, as you gain rank in a faction (LP), you get proportionally higher c-bill rewards. This will reward loyalty to a single faction, as well as continued play (since LP decays over periods of inactivity). Since the House is likely fully funding your R&R costs (hence the ridiculously low Salvage rewards), c-bill rewards scaling based on LP rank seems like the only probable way to get an advantage as a House pilot (besides prices when shopping, based on the ownership of key worlds).

As for Lone Wolves and Mercs, they can probably get better contracts when they have more LP, though the benefits of that will depend on how contracts are implemented.
