Yes but only 1.if I am in a group of 3+ 2. and only to prevent some random pug from breaking up my team. otherwise I don't issue orders because nobody listens and almost nobody pays attention to chat unless they are also in a group.

Formal company command never really becomes an issue when I drop with members of my Clan or trusted friends. We don't ditty bop on the Battlefield. Our command structure and training emphasizes independent Lance deployment and operational tactics. To quickly analyze the strategic weaknesses of the enemy deployment and exploit those flaws for maximum combat advantage and inflicted attrition. :(

Nope. Even when I drop in a "premade" of maybe one, two, or three random people from my friends list you can bet all your gxp the rest of the company won't follow orders. A lot of the time the people I drop with don't use voice coms and I personally prefer not to since I have a huge speech impediment from a medical condition.

The few and far times I have seen it used and the company followed through, the commander got as far as move to here. Once the fighting or first contact is made there is little use of issuing orders because there simply isn't enough time to react to the battle field and check your map to find out what that sudden icon means.

If you use voice comms you're ability to control the battle skyrockets drasticly compared to ones on in-game chat or icons on a map.

This, click ready, grab company command and type in chat "Just making sure some random doesn't scramble my premade, and thank you for not zerging to the PUGZAPPER, that is all"

I just don't type fast enough to consider it.

I will catch flack sometimes since I will take tunnel duty or have my Mech is turned around looking in another direction. I can discourage the timid but the first other indication of a push is my mech blowing up behind the group. Important but not kills or C-bills.... I prefer wins, so yes I will also solo cap if everyone is too busy with pew pew.

Other times I might be rushing to aid, since that solo circle dance just means his opponent has ECM and/or they haven't bounced the R key. With usually ten other clueless pilots clustered together hiding or going back and forth to shoot ahead from exactly the same spot each time (though it is good sport when the other side does it, sort of like Whack a Mech).

Have pretty much lost my curiosity when lights come running back. No target, no report, but if I go to investigate there will be at least four. Have found all twelve a couple of times. Once with our whole crew turned the wrong way and on the wrong side of cover. Might have been good if the Jenner pilot had mentioned they were back there under ECM. I think I hit the R key 8 times before boom. Then I had time to type.
