See thread title.

After the update. It totally does not make sense. Why even bothering adding it? And it blocks your vision.

As of today we have electronics who prevents getting iced windows. Either let it 'warm up' when your Mech walks a few metres or in the heat of the battle.

Or just make this un-done. This 'fancy' addon is not adding any realism to the game at all.

Update: These 'icing'' show also in Tourmaline Desert. It's probaly some 'reflection' overlay or whatever some kind. These so called 'icing' does not show up when i angle my Mech cockpit to the sky.

It's just kinda stupid. Even a Mech gets all heated up.

Must agree. Last thing this train wreck of a game needs is new ways to make it harder to see.

I know it is. I'm just mocking people who get over-obsessive about adding cockpit glass and other realism features in a game that is inherently one of the most unrealistic IPs of all time (and even in terms of realism, the car sitting in my driveway can melt windshield ice...).

Apologies. I misunderstood your reply.

pretty sure future space mechs would have heaters on their mech windows, heck its so hot in those things they wear shorts, SHORTS

Also pretty sure Mech viewports are one way see-through space metals or some such thing, hence why it can be 'Up' or 'Down' armored. From my understanding of Battletech space magic, is that the inside overlays/displays what outside 360 cameras see, which then show up on the Mech pilot's headgear. If all else fails, they can simply shoot by looking out the transparent cockpit window and aim by sight alone.

I dont even think the inside displays anything. Im pretty sure its all the neurohelmet... its like using oculus rift, but having a 360 degree field of view condensed into your normal 180 field of view.

im all for 'realism' and cockpit glass cracking
but a mech reaching temperatures that melts cars can't melt the ice on its window?!

I think it is fine.
Someone will probably just turn the Gamma down anyway to shoot across the map like they do now, which will reduce the effect of the mildew/mold/frozen glass.

So does it really matter?

Let those enjoy it if they like it those that don't, will alter their graphics anyway to make sure they win, or keep them from getting a headache.

hell yeah, Are you insane PGI?
In some situation it just looks like unwashed old gipsy car

My cocpit glass is unbreakable, unscratchable but cannot be made from some antireflex material? Its really funny.
That effect is ridiculously strong and disturbing.

Or maybe PGI should make another modul called Mr.Proper !

I guess visibility through my car's windscreen would suffer after being shot at multiple times
But where do you see ice on the screens? I only see scratches, even on cold maps...
