One of the mech perks is faster start ups, I think this should be rolled into a system where you get to pick three buttons (or two or four doesn't matter the number) that allow you to perform a faster manual start up sequence. You could still choose to let the game do it, but you could toggle the manual/auto start up with the options menu.
I hate any parts of a game where I am not involved and I love the idea of pushing my own start up buttons at the beginning of the match. Anyone else think this would be a neat little addition?
Thoughts?

I think this would be a great addition. Do I think pgi would impliment it or even be able to do it right, no. Call me jaded.

Total waste of engineering time.

So is pgi's "one step forward, two steps back" development method. Personally I think it would be a plus. Sorta like the ol piloting skill rolls. I know i know, this game has nothing to do with table top. Yada yada.

Yes, but other things come first. Also, that means one more checkbox to check on or off in options menu. Which means maybe more confusion with newbies.

Guys this already exists....
If you ovearheat and shut down (which you shouldnt do at all; a good pilot overrides the safety shut down before shooting)
you can manually power up by pressing 'P' the switches are used at that time aswell.
A good player will only shut down if he chooses to shut down after a high alpha killshot, as he takes less damage when shut down, generally override to stay mobile.
Close topic, feature already exists.

I also mean that the initial start up sequence would be manual. Additionally I would want it to be more complicated than a single button. Something simple, but more personally integrated like "A, B, C" would make me feel more in control of the game.

Macro monkies would just program it and then have another advantage.
Also Radick stop being a {Richard Cameron}...you have no idea about large scale software dev so stop the critisim constantly.

Wouldn't programing a macro for this feature be against the code of conduct regarding macros? Besides even if they did it is an advantage that is so niche it is almost negligible.

i like the idea, like push W,S,F,A,W or something to make it faster and more immersive that'd be cool
