Well one problem is the Pug Lottery: will I get the experienced pugs or the new guys.

The main Problem I have seen is once one team has gotten ahead by 3 kills it begins a cascade effect into a total stomp. So if once side catches a lance by it self with most of their team and wipes them out, the chances of winning through team elimination becomes almost impossible (you might still sneak in a cap victory).
